The office suddenly went quiet for a moment before a breathless voice rang out. "Who's there? I'm in the middle of something. Talk to me tomorrow."

Furious, Tracy snapped, "It's me, Rae. It's Tracy."

The room quieted down, and faint whispers could be heard from inside.

Rachel's voice came through once more. "I'm sick, Tracy. I need Matthew to treat me."

Tracy gritted her teeth in rage because Rachel had changed—she even started lying to her for Matthew. Then, she recalled the soft murmurs from the office.

It was Matthew. The pervert had taught Rachel to lie.

Tracy clenched her fists and raised her volume. "Fine. Let him treat you."

With that, Tracy stormed off and returned to her office. The more she dwelled on it, the angrier she became.

At this point, Rachel had started teaming up with Matthew to deceive her. If things continued like this, her relationship with Rachel would only grow more distant.

With that in mind, Tracy felt even more anxious. She had to come up with a plan to make Rachel cut ties with Matthew for good.

Suddenly, Tracy's eyes lit up. "I've got an idea. Doesn't Tessa want to reconcile with Matthew? She's a bit unpleasant, but I'm open to teaming up if it means getting Rachel to leave Matthew."

With a smile on his face, Leander walked in and made his way to the bed. "How are you feeling, Ms. Sanders?"

Tessa looked distressed. "I feel awful. It feels like there's a foreign object in my head."

Leander reassured with a grin, "That's likely just your mind playing tricks on you, or maybe your wound hasn't healed completely. The itching and tingling sensation as it heals can make you feel that way. In truth, the surgery is nothing major, and you can go home now. Just follow the doctor's instructions to take your meds regularly."

Tessa felt something was off. "After a major operation like that, can I really be discharged when the wound has only started to heal?"

Leander chuckled. "You know how it works for childbirth, right? If it's a natural delivery, you can typically leave the hospital on the same day. If it's a surgical delivery, it'll take a few days. Don't underestimate our body's ability to recover. It's not as weak as you imagine."

Tessa believed Leander was so strapped for cash, which was why he was acting this way.

She was worried about her health and asked, "How about I stay another day for an IV drip just to be safe?"

Leander leaned closer. "You still don't trust me, do you? Hear me out, Ms. Sanders. I'm following the safest procedure. Your health comes first. Before we implanted the chip, we tested it on a pig and a monkey. They're still kicking and even healthier than the rest of their group. You can totally trust me."

Tessa responded with resignation, "Alright."
