The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 767

The other cameras didn't pick up anything unusual, but Camera 35 caught something odd. It was pointed at the north entrance of Silverbrook Village. A big truck had pulled over Silverbrook Village's north entrance. It was loaded with wooden crates, and bees buzzed like crazy there.

In front of the big truck was a table filled with honey jars. Behind it, a man opened one of the hive boxes and pulled out a frame filled with honeycomb. He gently brushed off the bees and sliced off some honey with a knife.

The man kept shouting, "Honey for sale! It's fresh from the hive. It's organic without any additives. This is pure honey. Come and see it for yourself."

Pedestrians slowed down to check it out, and the man could've called out a few times to keep them interested. But then, he suddenly went quiet.

On top of that, it was unusual for someone to bring a truckload of hives just to sell honey.

Back when Caleb racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt due to gambling, he was constantly on the run, so he ended up hiding in the mountains with a beekeeper. After living with the beekeeper for three months, he learned all there was to know about beekeeping.

Driving a truckload of beehives into the city wasn't ideal. The bees could easily get lost, causing major losses. Plus, there weren't enough flowers in the city for the bees to gather nectar, so the bees would end up eating the honey. That was just burning through money.

So, now that a beekeeper had shown up in the city with a truck full of hives, he might be here for trouble. Therefore, Caleb's full attention was on watching the beekeeper's every move.

Caleb played over a dozen rounds of cards, but he was distracted and kept losing.

In the card room, the older people clapped and cheered as Caleb kept losing money. They were delighted to finally get back at him for the losses from the past few days.

Caleb didn't seem bothered at all. He kept pulling out money like it was worthless to him.

Finally, he tossed his lost money onto the table and stood up. "Apologies. Something came up. I'll be back tomorrow."

The older people quickly asked him to stay.
