The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 772

Matthew glanced at Giselle before turning to Alistair. "You must be mistaken, right? I saved you. Why would I want to kill you?"

He coldly chuckled to himself. Alistair was so freaked out that he had lost it. Didn't he realize that revealing Matthew's identity could make Matthew snap and go on a killing spree?

With his swollen eyes barely open, Alistair was filled with shock and fear. How could he have mixed Matthew up with someone else? At the start of the assignment, Nathan handed Alistair photos of Matthew from all different angles.

After looking at those photos for days, Alistair would be able to recognize Matthew even from behind without needing to see his face.

Alistair was even more scared now. "I'm begging you, please spare my life. Please don't kill me and leave my mom out of this."

Giselle walked up to the hospital bed and touched Alistair's forehead. "What nonsense are you talking about? He's the one who saved your life. You've got the wrong person."

Alistair was shaken up. "You have no clue what's going on, Mom. I went to Silverbrook Village…"

He trailed off halfway through his sentence.

Telling Giselle he went to assassinate Matthew was out of the question. She had always thought he made his living as a beekeeper selling honey. She had no clue he was an assassin.

When Alistair left his sentence unfinished, Giselle stepped in and said again, "You're not thinking straight, Alistair. The doctor just said if it weren't for him, you might not have made it. He saved your life. Hurry up and apologize to him."

Matthew wanted to have a word with Alistair privately, so he told Giselle, "He seems to be not thinking clearly. Quickly get a doctor to check on him."

Giselle nodded. "Yes. I'll go get the doctor. Could you keep an eye on him? I'll be back soon."
