The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 887

The blade was drawn swiftly, and the sharp edge gleamed as it emerged from the sheath. A hint of delight flashed past Thaddeus' eyes—it was the delightful thrill of a killer's intent.

He had trained his strength daily for the longsword just so he could master the Bladeswift Strike. It was a move that could do the most damage when attacking with a longsword, and it was extremely fast.

This particular move was so fast that the opponent wouldn't be able to block it even if they saw the strike.

Thaddeus felt that he had already won the moment he unsheathed his sword. But just as he did so, he saw a black shadow flashing past him, kicking the handle of his sword so that it became sheathed again.

The metal guard of the longsword produced a piercing metallic clunk when the hilt was kicked back into the scabbard. Thaddeus almost dropped his scabbard to the ground when his hands shook due to the impact.

He let out a yelp and looked at Matthew in disbelief. He was shocked as he asked, "How can you move so quickly?"

Matthew was fast—way too fast. His kick was even faster than the Bladeswift Strike Thaddeus prided himself in.

Matthew replied coldly, "Really? I thought I was a little too slow earlier. If I had been any quicker than that, you'd be long gone."

Thaddeus was pumped up with fighting spirit and said, "I was careless earlier, and that was a chance for you to finish me. It's a shame, though, because you weren't able to seize it completely. Now, I'll be taking things seriously."

Right after he said that, Thaddeus was struck with a metal pipe that pierced through his throat. He clutched onto his throat with his jaws wide open as he stared at Matthew in bewilderment.

He wanted to say something, but all that came out were choking, unidentifiable noises. Soon, his body jolted and shook a few times before he collapsed onto the ground with a thud.

Half the length of the steel pipe protruded out of the back of Thaddeus' neck, and it was a pretty horrifying sight. The chilling blood stains soiled the steel pipe.

Rodrick had his jaw on the ground in terror when he saw the gory scene of Thaddeus' miserable death. He stood stunned in place.

Matthew walked up to Rodrick and pulled out his phone, asking, "You wanted to buy the stone tablet, didn't you?"

When Rodrick snapped back into his senses, he answered Matthew with much fear, "That's… That's right. I want to… I want to buy the stone tablet."

Matthew then waved his phone about, showing his bank account details as he said, "Pay up, then!"
