Chapter 226 We’re Square

Nathan came to Victor’s ward.

As Victor had a high status, he naturally lived in the VIP ward of the hospital.

This VIP ward was similar to a hotel suite. There were many people gathered in it, all of whom were senior executives from the banks in Mimar City.

They came to visit Victor with flowers and gifts. All of them criticized Nathan for beating Victor.

“Hey, which bank are you from? Or which company? Don’t you know how to line up!” When Nathan was about to enter, a potbellied bank director scolded him.

“Oh… Sorry!” Nathan thought for a while and nodded slightly.

Then he really stood in line at the back.

Victor had been beaten badly by him yesterday. His nose and arms were all broken.

Flavia was also cold–blooded. As she didn’t get the videotape she wanted, she refused Victor’s bank loan of 0.4 billion.

“You didn’t get things done. Why do you have the nerve to come to me?” These were what Flavia said to Victor before, which made Victor so mad.

All in all, Victor’s efforts were in vain.

He even regretted being tempted by Flavia. If he didn’t betray Gussie, he might be able to sleep with her on her good impressions of him.

When Nathan appeared in front of him, he was startled and his face darkened.

Victor said coldly, “Nathan, how dare you come to see me?!”

Hearing Victor’s words, everyone was stunned and turned to look at Nathan.

Victor had told them he was beaten by Nathan. All the directors of the banks made promises that they would never lend a penny to Poly Capital!

“So this guy is the puppet chairman of Poly Capital? He beat Mr. Sandman like this yesterday!”

“He got a lot of nerve. How dare he come to the hospital today?”

“He’s in big trouble! Mr. Sandman is the nephew of Matthew, the chief of the Bank of Mimar!”

“He must regret his impulsion and comes to beg for mercy.”

“That’s right. He offended Mr. Sandman and won’t be able to get a penny in the loan. If he doesn’t come to admit his mistake, his business must be ruined.”

Those directors showed different expressions. Some were gloating, some were joking, some were worried, and some were panicked.

Nathan said calmly, “Why should I be afraid? I beat you, so I feel obliged to visit you!”

Those directors around looked at each other. They didn’t expect Nathan would still be stubborn.

“Humph! You are not welcome here. Get out!” Victor yelled sharply. But when he spoke, his voice was trembling in fear.

As he was beaten hard yesterday, he was afraid Nathan would act rashly and beat him up again in the hospital.

Nathan said with a smile, “We have to solve our problems. You can’t throw a tantrum like a child, right?”

Victor’s face was gloomy. His arms were wrapped like a mummy, and his face was covered with injuries. How could he talk to him peacefully?

“I guess he has no money in his hand because of the loan. So he can’t run the company and comes to plead!”

“Why did he do it at that time? Being impulsive is not a good thing. He’s reaping the consequences.”

“He beat Mr. Sandman like this and still wants to reconcile? Nice try!”

The directors all sneered and knew why Nathan came here.
