The greatest man alive novel (by Maverick Bowman) novel Chapter 3

Miller Walter, the wealthiest man in Mimar City, was a legend. And it was not an exaggeration.

He was imprisoned for two years in Devendill Prison, where Nathan had taken good care of him. Plus, he was able to get out of prison because of Nathan. Even though Nathan was young, he was Miller’s savior.

“Mr. Walter, sorry for bothering you. You even came to the airport to pick me up.” Nathan smiled and spoke.

“Mr. Nathan, this is what I should do!” Miller said with a laugh, “This is a gift I prepared for you, two bottles of vintage wine.”

Nathan was stunned and asked, “Why did you prepare this?”

Miller smiled. “If you want to propose, you must bring some decent wine to the girl’s family! I have stored these two bottles for many years, and they would be a wonderful gift!”

Nathan thought about it and agreed. He couldn’t go to the Johnson family empty-handed.

Hector Johnson was Nathan’s father’s friend. Nathan’s dad helped Hector start the business, and after Nathan and his dad were driven out of the Evans family, the Johnson family helped them for a period. And now, Nathan’s dad asked him to marry Hector’s daughter, Natalie Johnson.

Nathan walked into the Johnson family’s yard with his luggage and two bottles of wine. Hector, whom Nathan hadn’t seen for many years, was sitting in the living room.

“Nathan! I received a letter from your dad two weeks ago. You’re finally here!” Hector shouted and shook hands with Nathan.

Nathan saw Hector and smiled. “Uncle Hector!”

Hector said, “Just in time! Go to the government office with Natalie and get the marriage certificate!”

A girl snorted coldly on the side, with her face full of disgust.

She was dressed in a snow-white dress, and a delicate golden belt outlined her slender waist. The makeup on her pretty face was delicate and beautiful, and her long legs were more attractive than anything else.

Hector’s wife, Luisa Johnson, was also frowning. She didn’t understand why Hector refused the marriage of the Roberts family and chose this prison guard!

“Uncle Hector, why so hurry?” Nathan scratched his head and said embarrassedly.

“This was settled a long time ago!” Hector laughed.

Natalie looked at Nathan coldly and said, ”I didn’t expect you actually to become a prison guard. What a shame!”

Nathan nodded to her with a smile. “Natalie, long time no see…”

Natalie looked at her childhood friend and shook her head.

A long time passed, and she knew Nathan was not worthy of her. However, her father’s order made her unable to resist. But if they were forced to be together, their relationship might be easier to collapse.

Luisa pointed at Nathan and said, “Hector, what would your relatives think if you married Natalie to this brat? How would your friends talk about it? Look at him. After so many years, he is still a prison guard!”

“The first time he came here, he brought two bottles of fake wine. Are you sure you want to marry your daughter to such a person?!”

Nathan said lightly, “I brought two vintage wines, Miller…”

Luisa sneered with contempt. “I have a few boxes of wine at home. Would you like me to take them out and show you? And you said yours are vintages? Do you know how much a fine vintage wine costs? Is it something you can afford?”
