Chapter 394 Four A.M.
Nathan could understand Natalie’s choice.
Perhaps she wanted to prove her innocence.
In Nathan’s opinion, this was a little pretentious. However, this was also because the woman was reserved, and he could
understand her.
Natalie wanted to become outstanding to have an equal position with Nathan before confirming their relationship.
Before, when Natalie didn’t know Nathan, although she didn’t mock him, she hadn’t given him enough trust.
Now that Nathan had won his reputation in the Neva Province, she was embarrassed to suddenly fall in love with him.
Money could bring you all kinds of friends in the world, but only on the bad days would you know which was the real one.
Natalie knew very well that she could not compete with Hannah at the moment. After all, Hannah was the one who accompanied Nathan when he was just a nobody.
“Your dream is not easy to achieve. After all, there is only one Jade in the world.” Nathan held his wine cup, took a sip, and smiled helplessly.
“I will do my best, and I believe that hard work will repay me,” Natalie insisted, “Moreover, I have improved a lot.”
Nathan spread out his hands and said, “Then what if you’re unable to accomplish your goal? Will you avoid this question forever?”
“Time will always give the answer. At the very least, I decided to give it a try!” Natalie smiled and said.
Nathan made a face and said, “Can I say that you’re a bit of a hypocrite?”
Natalie pursed her lips and said, “You are free to think what you like!”
Nathan laughed and said, “I’m kidding. I just want to see your resolution. I wish you success.”
Natalie clinked her glass with him and whispered, “I wish you success too, and I’ll pay attention to you.”
“That’s a lot of pressure…” Nathan finished his wine in one gulp, taking a deep breath and feeling extremely comfortable.
Natalie rolled her eyes at him and said, “Be careful!”
Nathan knew what she was talking about, so he nodded. He didn’t need to be reminded about this, and he had carefully kept his physical condition at a peak level recently.
Killing him would not be an easy task. After all, he used to be so many bullies tortured and trained in Devendill Prison.
The two of them changed to some relaxing topics. They chatted and laughed, drank a little sake, and felt satisfied.
Although the sake was not strong, both of them had drunk a lot and felt a little dizzy.
In the middle of the night, Nathan paid the bill and found he cost two thousand dollars for a meal.
He took a taxi and sent Natalie home.
When Hector saw that it was Nathan who had sent Natalie back, he breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, “Thank you for sending her back.”
Nathan said casually, “It’s nothing. We chatted and drank a little more. I’m sorry to let you worry, Uncle Hector.”
Hector said, “I won’t be worried if I knew she was having dinner with you. I’m very relieved to have you with her.”
Natalie yawned and waved to Nathan. She said, “Alright, I’m home. You can go back and rest. We can do it again when you’re
free,”
Nathan nodded, then turned to the taxi and left.
“What’s happened?” Hector looked at the taillights of the car and asked with a frown.
“We’re just having a meal, drinking, and chatting,” Natalie replied truthfully with a smile..
With a sigh, Hector asked, “Have you discussed your future?”
