Chapter 401 Targeted
Jade came to Nathan’s office. As soon as she came in, the whole room seemed to
shine brightly.
Nathan smiled when he saw her. “You’re always a busy woman, General Perkins.
Why are you here?”
Jade ignored Nathan and immediately turned to Wendy as soon as she saw her.
“Wendy, stop what you’re doing if you don’t want him dead.”
Wendy didn’t speak. She lowered her head and played with her nails as if she didn’t
hear what Jade had said.
Seeing that Jade had ignored him, Nathan shrugged, leaning lazily on the chair and
looking at her.
“Did you hear me?” Jade asked indifferently.
“Yes,” Wendy said, “But I don’t want to speak because your words are too boring.”
Jade’s face turned cold with a trace of impatience.
Wendy stood up, shook her head, and said, “Why should I listen to you? We didn’t
start it.”
“The Roarclaws Group wanted to crush us, and Natasha wanted to profit from it. That
was why we intervened.”
“You also wanted to profit from it. You invested two billion dollars in Natasha.”
“You bullied me at the beginning, and now you want me to stop because you’re
losing?”
“Why should I agree? I can’t let you go so easily!”
Maybe Jade’s temperament could suppress most people, but Wendy was not among
them. She was also as proud as a queen.
Jade looked at Wendy fiercely. “If Nathan dies, you won’t be able to live either!”
Nathan said, “Sorry, I won’t die! The bad guys will live forever. I know I’m evil, so how
could I die like this?”
Jade turned around and said coldly, “I’m not kidding. Will you listen to my words?”
Nathan said, “Why should I listen to you? Am I your subordinate or your husband?
You’re a bit ridiculous.”
Jade said coldly, “We all take a step back now, and I can guarantee that nothing
horrible will happen. But if you stick to it, things might be different.”
“General Perkins, we’re well–prepared. The game can go on as long as you wish.”
Wendy said determinedly.
“You will lose your two billion dollars. I’m sure of it.”
“And yes, we will also get all the money of the Porter Group alliance.”
Jade said calmly, “This is my last warning and your last opportunity. Are you sure you
don’t want it?”
Nathan was surprised. “You bullied us, so we fought back. And now you’re here to
threaten us because you’re losing. Why are you calling this an opportunity?”
Jade nodded and said, “Then I’ll see you in three days!”
Then, she turned around and left immediately.
Jade knew this fight would be inevitable if Nathan and Wendy refused to give in.
In fact, she was too proud to play this kind of trick. After all, asking for a truce when
losing a battle was too embarrassing.
She didn’t even really want Nathan to attend Natasha’s dinner party three days later. If
so, she didn’t have to take action.
Jade could do whatever she wanted, but the two billion was a huge pressure, and
several other forces also needed to be considered. If she couldn’t fight for the same
goal as the others did, even the Perkins family would suffer some unbearable losses.
