Chapter 421 Not Wearing Black Silk Stockings

Nathan came out of the bedroom to the living room and saw Hannah treating Jessica’s wound.

Jessica’s face was scraped, and her glasses were broken. It was the most unlucky day in her life.

“Ms. Carter, I’ve figured it out. The Manskarta government hired an organization called Blood Skull to kill you,” Nathan said to Jessica.

Jessica smiled and said, “I’ve known about it. I was just about to tell you, but I didn’t expect you to have the information.”

Hannah said, “Don’t smile. I can’t treat your wounds if you

smile.”

“Oh!” Jessica was embarrassed and put on a straight face so that Hannah could treat the wounds on her face.

Nathan said thoughtfully, “It seems that the Carter family has fallen out with the Manskarta government. Otherwise, they would not have resorted to such extreme methods.”

Jessica said, “It doesn’t matter. I didn’t die this time, and I will get even with them after 1 go back to Manskarta.”

The Carter family was not to be offended. Both sides fought for their own interests.

Jessica survived this time, and the Manskarta government would have to pay a considerable price after she returned.

The Carter family was like a king in Manskarta. It had its own soldiers and was wealthy. The Manskarta government tried to get rid of the Carter family and seize power.

However, the Carter family was too powerful to be rooted. The powerless and poor government had to resort to despicable methods secretly since it lacked the power to confront the big shot.

“Tomorrow the plane of the War Department will come to Mimar City to pick you up and send you back to Manskarta,” Nathan

said.

“Can I trust them? If not, I’d better take a passenger plane,” Jessica said.

No country or force dared to attack passenger planes. Otherwise, it would be condemned by the whole world.

Nathan said, “You can trust them. It’s safe. Don’t worry. I can assure you of this.”

Jessica said, “Since you say so, I’ll trust them.”

Hannah applied the last bit of medicine to Jessica’s face and said with a smile, “It’s done!”

Jessica couldn’t help asking, “What are you laughing at?”

Hannah said without hesitation, “I’m laughing at you.”

Jessica looked at her in surprise, the corners of her mouth twitching.

Hannah said, “You showed up in the company today and surprised all of us. It’s hilarious to see you in such a mess for the first

time.”

Jessica shook her head helplessly and said wryly, “That’s mean of you. You can’t do that.”

Hannah lowered her head and put away the medicines with a smile on her lips. She was not gloating but simply finding it interesting.

It was hard to imagine such an elegant and confident woman like Jessica would make a mess of herself.

Hannah even wanted to see if Jessica had any quirks. It must be very interesting!

Nathan asked the hotel staff to bring them some food and red wine. He first checked if the food and drinks were poisoned and

then had the bedtime snacks with the two women.

“I wanted to stay in Mimar city for a few more days to see if there was any industry worth investing in. I didn’t expect that I

would have to go back tomorrow,” Jessica said sullenly when she held the fork and ate a piece of tender beef.

“There is always a chance. After things are settled, you can come back again,” Nathan said.

He was frightened. If Jessica accidentally died here, he couldn’t take the consequences and might get into big trouble.
