“You’re right, I could easily kill him, but there’s no need,” Richard said calmly, looking at Kingston expressionlessly.
“Oh? He’s of no use to us and he’s challenging us, so why not just kill him?” Kingston replied.
“Killing him would only tarnish your reputation, Kingston. Keeping him alive would be a warning to others,” Richard responded with a hint of logic.
Kingston couldn’t help but chuckle.
“You have a point there,” he said and added, “But how do you plan to make up for killing a commander without my permission?”
“And on top of that, you blocked me?” Kingston asked.
“Anne ordered me to do it. If you have a problem with it, take it up with her,” Richard replied calmly.
He was talking bullshit. If Anne were there, she would have smashed Richard’s head in before asking any questions.
“Why did Anne want Anson dead? He was relatively harmless to me,” Kingston frowned.
“Anson was selling out the country’s interests and colluding with Nievic. Shouldn’t he be killed?” Richard replied calmly.
“Oh…” Kingston wasn’t too suspicious.
He knew Anne was a person who detested evil. That being the case, Kingston didn’t have much to say.
Richard congratulated Beasley on becoming the commander and then left with Hezti.
Beasley wanted Richard to stay for dinner, but Richard was not in the mood for socializing.
Hezti’s face was as pale as paper, and she had a persistent headache. Her heart was also twitching intermittently, and she felt extremely nauseous, even worse than being heavily drunk.
“I didn’t expect you to learn this secret technique of mine, and you’re using it so well. I’m really surprised!” Richard couldn’t help but exclaim.
“I just think with it myself. It was my first time using it,” Hezti said.
Richard shook his head and said, “This technique shouldn’t be used often, even I would have a heavier heart load and feel uncomfortable for several days after using it. If you don’t take a break for ten days or half a month, you probably won’t be able to recover…”
“This secret technique that unleashes the potential of one’s blood and energy is too damaging to the heart. And, with one careless move, it can cause cerebral blood vessels to rupture. The blood that the heart can bear is limited, and this move is a kind of overloaded operation that involves extreme compression and then release…”
“When you advance skills, I’ll teach you my own creation, the Explosive Golden Pill. This move has almost no negative effects on oneself,” Richard explained.
Hezti nodded, and her footsteps were somewhat unsteady, as if her body had been emptied.
“However, you’re really amazing to be able to defeat a master like Shane Liam,” Richard praised.
“Show weakness to the enemy, and then counter-attack with full force. You wrote about this in your Guidance on Combat. But I didn’t show weakness to the enemy. The difference in skills was just too great!” Hezti rubbed her head, got into the car, and leaned against the seat, feeling sleepy.
“Not bad. I only taught you the ‘Peeing Dog’ once, but you must have studied it on your own and used it skillfully to kick him in the balls at a critical moment. You’re really talented,” Richard replied.
Hezti smiled, feeling very happy and proud to be praised by this old pervert capitalist.
“To win, you can’t rely on trickery every time. You have to work twice as hard in the future. Also, try not to use these techniques that unleash potential unless it’s a matter of life and death. It’s better not to use them unless necessary,” Richard advised.
“Understood!” Hezti nodded and immediately dozed off on the seat, her head gradually becoming hazy until she fell asleep.
