Chapter 1517
May seemed much calmer, only occasionally looking up at Sean with a smile and saying with great relief, “Sean, you’ve really grown up. I can now depend on you.”
“Aunt, you’re acting like we’re strangers. You took care of me when I was little. Now that I’ve grown up, isn’t it my job to take care of you?”
May’s heart melted when hearing Sean say so.
After a meal, the two women washed up and rested. They were too scared to sleep during the two days they spent in the abandoned textile factory.
They could finally have a good rest.
May and Caitlyn returned, and the orphanage was back on track.
Partly to celebrate and partly to make up for the two days they had not eaten, May cooked a hearty meal.
Caitlyn giggled as she looked at all the good food on the table.
“Stop giggling and eat!”
Sean patted Caitlyn on the head and urged her with a smile.
Caitlyn replied in acknowledgment and nodded heavily. Then she said, “Brother Sean, it’s so nice to have someone as reliable as you.”
“Stop talking nonsense. The food’s going cold.”
Sean said, pretending to be angry.
However, he was happy. What could be happier than getting the approval of someone he cared about?
Just then, Zander walked in suddenly.
May immediately said, “Zander, I don’t think you’ve eaten. Sit down and eat with us.”
