Hearing George’s words, Wesley flew into a rage. He raised his hand to slap George, but he was facing his only son.
He did not have the heart to slap him after all.
“You fool! She’s your mother and my wife. She’s our family. I can bring her in, of course. And I can bring her here legitimately! But is the woman you brought your family? She’s only a prostitute! What will the soldiers think of a centurion bringing a prostitute back to the army camp?!”
George smacked his lips impatiently before nodding and saying, “Alright, alright, I got it… I’ll send her away later! Happy?“
Wesley glared at his son George and said nothing more.
Just then, an errand runner came running in suddenly.
“Oh no. Oh no! Commander Jokerman, something’s wrong!” The errand runner rushed in and startled Wanda.
Wesley shouted unhappily, “What’s the hurry? Stand at attention!”
The errand runner quickly stood straight.
Seeing him calm down, Wesley asked, “What’s wrong? What happened?”
The errand runner was breathless with anxiety as he said hesitantly, “The new commander-in-chief and the two Chiliarches have arrested Centurion Jokerman’s woman!”
George, who was drinking, crushed his glass instantly as soon as he said that.
“How dare he touch my woman?”
***
The main camp.
A woman wearing thin clothes with her shoulders and fair legs exposed sat slumped on the ground in panic.
Josua was standing right in front of her. Benita, Gregory, and Anthony were also waiting here.
Ronald and his daughter, Lillian, did not come here. After all, it was not something they should be involved in.
Several city defense soldiers curiously came over to find out what was going on.
