The lackeys around him chickened out.
“Don’t worry. George can’t do anything to us! After all, the law can’t be enforced when everyone is an offender. There are so many of us. What the f*ck is there to be scared of?” George cursed to relieve his stress.
George marched in with Gregory, Anthony, and Wesley.
He was followed by Quentin, the mayor of Dorodo, and many of the ball’s high-profile guests.
“What happened here?” George asked when he reached them.
One of the city defense soldiers immediately saluted and respectfully reported to Adrian.
“Sir, Centurion Jokerman had a confrontation with someone, so he asked us to support him. Centurion Jokerman accidentally killed the man, which alerted the sheriff’s department and the reporters…”
A furious expression immediately appeared on George’s face.
George broke the rules by deploying 100 city defense soldiers out of the army camp only to intimidate others and show off. Besides that, he killed the other party in public.
Where did George get the courage to do so?
Wesley’s expression immediately changed as he went forward and slapped his son, George.
“B*stard, hurry and apologize to Commander Lennon! Do you know how much trouble you’ve caused?”
George was slapped twice, and his face burned with pain. However, he was angered by his own father instead of apologizing.
“Apologize? Apologize my *ss! What did I do wrong? Why should I apologize?!” George roared like a lion gone berserk, and his eyes were red with blood.
Wesley was terrified. Tonight’s events had put him and George in a nasty situation, but how dare this punk refused to admit his mistakes?
