“Help yourself. I’ll smoke a cigarette and relax. It’s too hot,” Violet said, taking out a cigarette.
It dawned on Benita that that was the reason Violet ate so little. Therefore, he said no more and dug in.
The fondue restaurant was crowded. Business was good, and Violet and Benita sat in the hall.
If it were a Dragon Kingdom restaurant, smoking was not allowed. However, many people were smoking in the hall, and Violet was not the only one, so Violet just did what they did.
After smoking a cigarette, Violet finally grabbed his cutlery and picked up a few pieces of bread from the fondue.
“What happened earlier was a good thing. Abraham was asking for it, and Amber was implicated. The father and son’s influence had been removed from the army camp… That way, I’ve won over Dorodo’s city defense army,” Violet exhaled and said, picking up the cold beer on the table and taking a swig.
“Yes, you’ve thought of everything, Commander,” Benita said excitedly.
He could not help feeling excited. It was because they had only arrived in Dorodo for a week, and Violet had won over the entire army in such a short time, including Gregory and Anthony. They also got rid of Amber and Abraham.
It was a good thing, whichever way you looked at it.
Benita had estimated the process would take at least a month or two. However, it took Violet only a week to do it.
He had always had faith in Morten, but now it seemed he had underestimated Violet’s wit, strength, and resourcefulness. On top of that, the chiliarch position became vacant after Amber and his son lost power.
Benita did not have a position in the city defense army earlier, so Violet asked him to take over as chiliarches. Therefore, Benita was now one of Dorodo’s three chiliarches, in charge of 1,000 city defense soldiers!
Violet handled the chaos Abraham caused in Dorodo’s downtown area well.
