Who told you to be nosy and intervene with poverty?
Who told you to go against me and lock up my son?
I’m going to humiliate you now. Besides, not only am I humiliating you, but I’m also humiliating you in front of all these people!
You’re furious, aren’t you?
But what can you do to me?
Elijah could not be more smug as he thought it.
Seeing how Elijah acted, everyone looked at Jagoan. Everyone in the room wanted to know how Jagoan would react. They were sure that Elijah tried to insult Jagoan by donating 100 dollar. It was just to show to people in the room that he looked down on the other party.
Would he fly into a rage and order Elijah thrown out?
He would probably do that. After all, what Elijah did was offensive. It would be strange if he did not do that. However, to everyone’s surprise, Jagoan’s expression did not change, and he remained calm.
“Note it down that the patriarch of the Walker family, Elijah, donated 100 dollars on behalf of his family…”
The city defense soldier nearby was furious. The eyes looking at Elijah looked like they would bore holes in him. However, he recorded how much Elijah had donated after hearing Jagoan’s orders.
Elijah got offstage triumphantly. He took great pride in embarrassing Jagoan in public.
Jagoan looked around the gala venue and asked, “Is anyone else donating?”
Jagoan looked like he was asking everyone, but he was actually asking Cole and Dylan, who stood with Elijah. It was because they were the only guests who had not donated.
Cole chuckled, strode onto the stage, and said, “Since Mr. Walker donated 100 dollars, I’ll donate 100 dollars too! The Stewart family’s strapped for cash lately. We wanted to give more, but this is all we can donate.”
Cole took out 100 dollars, stuffed it into the donation box, and asked pretentiously, “Commander Jagoan, you won’t think I donated too little by donating 100 dollars, will you?”
“No,” Jagoan said with a smile.
“Really? Are you sure? Haha, Commander Jagoan, you have a big heart!” Cole exclaimed.
After glancing at Jagoan, Dylan said coldly, “I’ll donate 100 dollars. What can you do to me?”
