Morgan stood aside, looking expectant.
A venom bug was not a secret in the traditional medicine industry, but not many people had seen it before. Even Morgan saw a real venom bug for the first time today.
Instead of looking at Jadon, Jagoan got up and took a few steps away from Jadon.
With Morgan watching, Jadon quickly finished the medicine.
Moments later, Jadon began coughing so violently that it looked as if he was trying to cough his lungs out.
Cough, cough, cough…
The only sound left in the ward was violent coughing.
Blaargh!
Suddenly, Jadon opened his mouth and threw up a pool of brown liquid that was clearly the medicine he had just taken.
In that puddle of soup, a dark bug kept wriggling its body. The bug was the size of half a finger. It kept wriggling in the sludge as if it had encountered its nemesis.
“Is… Is this the venom bug in me?” Watching the bug writhing on the ground, Jadon felt his scalp tingling at the thought of having one inside him.
Looking surprised, Morgan asked, “I thought venom bugs were small bugs. I didn’t expect them to be this big.”
“Haha, if you didn’t get this bug out, you’d die when it doubles in size,” Jagoan said with a chuckle.
Hearing that, Jadon only felt a chill rising from the bottom of his feet straight to the top of his head.
“Thank you, Mr. Lennon! No! Dr. Lennon!” Without thinking much, Jadon immediately thanked Jagoan.
Jagoan waved his hand and said nonchalantly, “Your body is very weak right now. You can’t get out of bed for a while.”
“You’ll be alright tomorrow,” Jagoan said and glanced at Morgan nearby, who immediately understood him and began to clean up the medicine on the floor.
Jagoan was silent. He had some speculation about Jadon’s identity, but he said nothing.
