Summon Of The Sword novel Chapter 1666

Uriah did not know what to say and could only let out a long sigh.

Just then, Sean suddenly glanced at him. "Do you like Shania?"

Uriah instantly froze when he heard that. Of course, Shania also froze.

Shania never expected Sean to say such a thing in front of the two parties involved!

Are you that blunt?

Can you not be so blunt?

Would being a little tactful hurt?

Uriah's slightly handsome face flushed a little before he lowered his head and said, "No, I was just respecting Miss. I'm only a bodyguard, trying to protect her from harm with my sword..."

"Just admit it if you like her. What's with the stutter? Are you even a man?" Sean added, glancing at Uriah.

Uriah fell silent.

Of course, he liked Shania. Otherwise, he would not be in such a hurry to catch up with her after she left the mayor's residence suddenly. Besides, he would not have been that mad at Sean when he saw Shania and Sean together.

Uriah already saw Sean as a rival at the time!

It was an impulse he had no way of controlling or even noticing. Sean was keenly aware of all this.

Shania blushed and said unhappily, "Mr. Lennon, our task today is to lure out Killer X, who's hidden in the crowd. Let's not talk about anything too personal, okay?"

"Sure..." Sean said only one word and nothing else.

Shania was relieved to see Sean stop fussing over that question.

Looking at Uriah, who never left her side and protected her, Shania said in resignation, "Uriah, I appreciate you for being so protective of me. Why don't you go home first? Having Mr. Lennon here is good enough. I'll tell my father about this, and he'll give you a bonus?"

"I didn't do it for the bonus." Uriah shook her head vigorously, looked at Sean, and said, "I don't think Mr. Lennon is capable of protecting you. I just didn't draw my sword. I'm as capable as him."

"How dare you say that..." Shania had a headache.
