Cynthia was adopted by the Winters family as a child and was two years older than Millie. She had vague memories of how kind Millie's mother was to her. Hearing that someone was going to take Millie's mother's ashes, Cynthia naturally thought something bad was happening. However, she was relieved to hear Millie's words.
