The Heart I Gave The Love I Lost (Sarah and Alexander) novel Chapter 89

Chapter 81

Chapter 81

Seeing the smile on Maggie’s face, Harry’s eyes darkened

Maggie noticed his gaze and, unsure of what to make of it, asked, What’s wrong?”

Nothing.”

Maggie didn’t press further. She walked a bit farther with Daisy while Harry stayed nearby

watching without interfering

After tiring of flying the kite, Maggie and Daisy sat by the lake and fished, or crouched by the side to observe the little fish swimming in the small water pools of the vendors, catching

them with a small net

Soon, it was noon

Harry had originally just planned to take Daisy out for a walk. Unlike other people, they didn’t bring any food, and now that it was mealtime and Daisy was hungry, Harry

suggested they eat at a small restaurant nearby

Having relaxed for a couple of hours, Maggie was in a better mood than before and didn’t refuse his suggestion

At lunch, Maggie mostly chatted with Daisy

Seeing how well they got along, Harry didn’t push to join the conversation but instead

quietly moved the dishes they liked closer to them

While Maggie was talking to Daisy, she didn’t notice

After a while, Harry’s phone rang

Seeing the caller ID, he turned to Maggie and said, I’ll take this call.”

Okay.”

Chapter 81

The call was from Levi

Harry walked a little farther before answering. What’s up?”

Where are you now? Have you eaten? My friend just sent me some fresh seafood. Want to come over and have some? Frank and the others will be here too.”

Harry glanced over at Maggie and Daisy, then lightly declined, We’ve already eaten, maybe next time.”

Alright, then do you have any plans for tonight? There’s a cruise party tonight, Frank and the others have confirmed they’re coming

You can bring your little niece along. We haven’t really met her, so this would be a good

chance to introduce her to us.”

Harry declined, She’s shy. There’ll be too many people on the cruise. I’m afraid she won’t

be comfortable.”

No worries, Isabella will be there too. They’re about the same age, they’ll probably play together.Without waiting for his refusal, Levi added, Seven o’clock, don’t forget.”

With that, Levi ended the call

Harry: ..”

After lunch, Maggie and Daisy chased butterflies, rode bicycles, and continued until they were both tired. Only then did they stop

Daisy fell asleep out of exhaustion

Maggie, feeling the need to rest, decided to drive home

Harry watched her car leave. After a short while, he also left

Some time later, Daisy woke up, but when she couldn’t find Maggie, she furrowed her little brows and asked, Where’s Auntie?”

Chapter 81

She went home.”

Daisy’s face fell. Oh”

At 7 p.m., Harry boarded the yacht on time

Franklin and the others had already arrived

Seeing him, Levi waved his hand

When he saw Daisy, Levi laughed first. I guess this must be the beautiful Daisy. Hello, little beauty, I’m your uncle Levi”

There were many people on the yacht, and Daisy was indeed a little shy

After Levi finished introducing himself, Julia led Isabella over

When Harry saw them, he hesitated for a moment

Knowing that Daisy was shy, after Isabella introduced herself, she took the initiative and

extended her hand, saying, There are a lot of children over there. Would you like to come

with me and play?”

Daisy looked at Harry, and after he nodded, she mustered up the courage to follow Isabella

Once the two children walked away, Levi smiled and asked, How does it feel to be a dad‘

for the first time?”

Not bad.”

His little niece was shy and reserved, but she was wellbehaved. Taking care of her wasn’t

too much trouble for him

Franklin handed him a glass of wine. Have a drink?”

Harry looked at Franklin, paused for a moment, then took the glass. Thank you.”

The two clinked glasses, drinking while chatting

After a while, Franklin suddenly looked at him more intently

Harry raised his eyes. What’s wrong?”

Levi chimed in, You seemoff today.”

Franklin smiled slightly

That was an acknowledgment of Levi’s observation

Harry remained calm, replying

Is that so?”

Levi raised an eyebrow. Really?”

Harry took a small sip of his drink and said nothing

At that moment, someone came over to greet them

Once the person left, Harry glanced at the time, realizing Daisy might be hungry. Just as he was about to go check on her, Daisy and Isabella returned

Daisy asked, Uncle, can I go eat those little cakes over there?”
