The Heart Of The Beast The Alpha's Pawn (Sonia and Ramon) novel Chapter 138

Chapter 138

SONIA’S POV

Thad acted like a fool, I thought, as laid at the bank of the river closest to my house.

Ramon had left with Blane, after giving me strict instructions to wait for him.

But the second that door closed, I knew I couldn’t remain in the room.

I found my way out, and didn’t stop until I arrived at the river,

The air smelt crisper. There wasn’t that poisonous stench that filtered into my nose before I treated the waters.

It was in this river, I came back to my senses.

Every time I thought of how I practically threw myself on him, I closed my eyes, and cringed

How could I have been so desperate? Why couldn’t I control my desires?

Stupid full moonI whispered, then slapped my mouth right after.

I had to do that, before the moon goddess decided to do it for me.

It will be past midnight already. I guess every pack and their tradition was different.

Silverpaw would be bubbling by now. There would be sounds of drums, and howls, to usher in the full moon.

At night, after the prayers, a party would be held

I was never allowed too close, but there was a window through which I watched all of the activities.

It wasn’t the same way here in bloodmoon. At least, from what I had observed.

Everywhere was quiet. A little too quiet. If I didn’t know better, I would swear they were mourning

Nothing felt like a celebration. Especially not how stupidly I threw myself at Ramon.

I felt so dirty. It almost made me want to

I froze at that thought. There wasn’t any need to think about it, when I could just go on ahead, and do it. The heat was getting unbearable. If I got in some kind of trouble, I could just blame it on the heat.

I rose to my feet, and began to shed off my clothes.

I knew by the time I was done, whatever filthy lust I carried, would be long expelled from my body.

It used to be difficult to shift. But ever since coming into the blood moon, it got easier with every shift. Closing nye

eyes, I waited for the usual pain.

It didn’t come, and by the time I opened my eyes again, my wolf had taken over

Ibroke

into a run, as the waves of the water serenaded me.

The trees, the leaves, the sky everything looked spectacular through the

the eyes of my wolf

I felt even more free than a bed. If I had wings, I would have loved to add flying into this run

I must have e gone. round the fores more than ten times.

On the last run, I felt my honey getting exhausted,

A lot of energy hud gone out of me, and I needed to take a break.

I continued as my wolf, but slowed into a stroll.

Walking through the forest, I realised I didn’t have any fear in me.

The only fear I ever had was of that cursed land. And even then, I was

is beginning to get over

I basked in the joy of the silent night. Knowing that the time I arrived at the river, I would immerse myself in it.

After that, whatever crazy urge I had would be totally gone.

I was so deep into analysing everything, I didn’t see what was happening in front of me.

My feet had almost stepped into a spot, when a movement caught my attention,

1 hastily diverted my gaze to where t

the movement had been more prominent.

In shock from what I saw, I shifted out of my wolf form. What w

was ahead of me, I could only describe as pure passion.

Everything instantly clicked in my head. All this time everyone thought

ht Blane liked it, as it would turn out, he liked-

to my mouth, as the name almost slipped out of my tongue.

My hand went to

Ivy?I screamed in my head.

It was all so confusing. I had watched Ramon go out the second Blanc called him.

How could he then have-…

My thoughts were interrupted once more, as the day began to brighten

One more time, I had a daunting realisation.

What I thought was just a good run, turned out to be hours of vigorous exercise.

1 suddenly felt like I was intruding into a private mome

My eyes went back to their joint bodies, and their howls of passion

An image of myself and Ramon in that position, formed in my head.

I shuddered, and the movement

ment caused my body to graze a tree.

The leaves rattled, and the noise it formed filtered into their ears.

They froze, and I knew I had to leave. Turning around, I tiptoed, making certain i

I made it out of their spot without making one sound.

Going ahead to the river, I proceeded to deep iny body into it,

not to crush some dried leaf with my feet.

Gening rid of every thought, i focused on just the coolness of the water on my body.
