SONIAS POV

The small room was cloaked in shadow, the flickering candlelight doing little to dispel the oppressive darkness that seemed to close in around us. I stood near the door, my arms crossed tightly against my chest, watching Daniel as he sat at the table, his head bowed.

The man before me looked like a ghost of the trusted Omega I’d once known. His shoulders slumped, his face hollow with guilt and exhaustion. But it wasn’t pity that churned in my chest, it was anger. Anger at him, at Lorena, and at the impossible situation we found ourselves in.

Ramon stood at the far side of the room, his presence a quiet storm of barely y restrained fury. His hands were balled into fists, his jaw tight as he stared at Daniel, waiting for him to speak.
