Chapter 7
SONIA’S POV
him in my heart.
In hindsight, I shouldn’t have threatened him. I should have kept what I planned to do to him
The only thing I ended up doing was pissing him off. Making him more mad at me for the sins of my father.
Thinking about things now, I had zero faults in all of this. My greatest sin was the sin of being born to my father.
His punishment for me? To repaint the walls of this large room with a toothbrush.
I had never painted anything in my entire life. I never passed art classes, because I couldn’t draw to save my life.
But because I opened my big mouth and dared to tell him I was going to take my revenge on him, this was my punishment.
I sighed as I stared at the wall. I had barely even begun, but the paint kept drying off and returning to its previous color.
Meanwhile, my entire body was soaked with paint, yet it didn’t show in whatever nonsense I was doing on the wall.
My nose caught a sniff of my body, and I wretched.
This was my fourth day without taking a bath. A putrid smell was emanating from my body. It made me want to throw up. A sting of tears formed in my eyes at my predicament.
However, was I supposed to paint this large room with this tiny toothbrush, when the paint refused to stay put?
He knew it was impossible. That demon knew there was no way I would be able to do this, yet he made me do it.
I already knew where this was headed. He would come in to inspect and see i hadn’t gotten anything done, then get mad and probably smack me
Flinching at the thought of being smacked, I continued trying and failing to paint the large empty room.
For companionship, I had the echoes of my thoughts. But even that was getting a little boring for me.
I decided to hum along as I did the impossible painting task.
What started as humming a single note escalated into a
song.
One of my biggest secrets was my love for singing. I didn’t do it in the open of course, because my father had an aversion to
music.
Apparently, my mother was a big music girl. She would sing around the house, and make him sing along with her. When she died, every joy died too. We were left with this emptiness in our hearts my father tried to fill with money.
Whatever money couldn’t solve, more money usually did. At least that was his motto.
I wonder where that money was now that it was time to save me from the hands of this evil.
Did he not care about me anymore? All this while, telling me I was the most important thing in his life, and that was why he moved mountains to protect me. Had all those talks just been a liet
I shook my head, and continued painting
It was getting fun as I sang, and danced around the room.
Noticing that the brush was only just erasing the paint, I decided to toss the paint on the walls with my hand,

It was messy, but it did work. I just started throwing more and more paint all over the walls.
I didn’t care if it splattered across the floor, or went out the windows. He didn’t give any rules other than to make sure I repainted the entire room.
The more I painted, the more I sang and danced to the tune of my singing.
Soon, I was deep into a different world. In this world, I was actually happy.
There was no alpha Ramon and his meanness. It was me and my happiness against the world.
I was a star. A princess. The Luna of a prosperous pack.
Everyone loved and respected me. They all wanted to be around me. None turned their nose when I walked by.
Oh to really reside in this world permanently. But it was a fantasy. And like all fantasies, there had to be an end to it.
The end of mine came when I furiously splashed the paint to the walls behind me.
I didn’t hear the door open, nor did I see someone come in.
Until I heard a loud growl, that made me stop. Slowly, I twirled and met the furious gaze of Alpha Ramon.
With paint dripping from my hands, I watched him with bulged eyes as he drew closer to me.
I could neither move nor breath. He was really going to kill me this time.
He would kill me in his paint stained clothes, and It would be my fault
“What do you think you’re doing?” He stressed his words one after the other, as his menacing eyes remained on me. I’m–1 opened and closed my mouth. There was nothing I could possibly say to deter him from hitting me.
Instead, I closed my eyes and waited for the impact of his hands on my cheeks.
“I told you to paint, not turn the room into a concert hall. You heard me coming and decided to throw paint at me, you?”
That made my eyes flutter open. Truth was, I didn’t actually hear him coming. But now I wish I did.
I probably would have enjoyed the sight of paint dripping from his body,
At least, he would be deserving of it for how bad he treated me.
But even as those thoughts formed in my mind, a different thought was forming in my wolf’s mind.
The one where he looked so sexy despite being covered in paint.
My nipples began to harden, and I could feel a pur threatening to spill out from my throat.
Clasping in tightly, I held it back, trying not to embarrass myself.
“You’re trying to get on my nerves.” He accused, his eyes darkening as it traveled down, and stopped in my chest.
I suddenly felt naked before ine. The feeling had me torn.
