The Heart Of The Beast The Alpha's Pawn (Sonia and Ramon) novel Chapter 94

Chapter 94

SONIA’S POV

I woke up to bright lights trickling over my face, and as I made to roll, I stopped.

My head turned to the side, but he was nowhere to be found.

Ramon had spent a good chunk of the previous night between my legs. His tongue of course

I had never experienced something like that in my entire life. Not even my imagination could conjure up something so exciting.

My smile widened the more I thought about him.

He hadn’t gone all the way with me, and I wondered why he was holding back.

But in the middle of wondering, I slapped my cheeks.

Stop wondering, Sonia. He’s going to be mad at you tomorrow. The only reason he did all of that is because he needed a favour from you.I said aloud, and paused.

He wanted me to help the pack doctor. I would have loved to know what my role would be.

Support in the pack doctor, or chief healer?

I knew I was getting in over my head but I couldn’t help it.

Giggling. I rose to my feet, and almost dropped to the ground and my knees buckled.

I forgot my legs had been spread apart all through the night. It still needed a little time to adjust to gravity

I waited a while, before standing again. I was successful this time

As I returned from the bathroom, my eyes caught sight of the book I had postponed reading last night, and my heart skipped a bear.

Did Ramon see it? And if he did, did he read it? What did he think about it?

Question after question filled my head, and all circled around Kamon

Ramon, Ramon, RamonI whispered, because no matter what I did, I couldn’t escape that name.

A knock sounded on my door, dragging me out of my rumbling head.

I quickly changed into some clothes, and walked out of my room.

Coming!I called aloud, so whoever was behind the door could hear me.

I realised I wasn’t afraid as I reached the door. It didn’t matter what whoever was behind the knock wanted. I had learned to expect the absolute worst in this pack.

It didn’t matter that Ramon had dived between my legs last night. He could have woken up with a need to destroy me.

I opened the door, and there was a maid standing in front of me.

She didn’t have a face I recognized, so I definitely had not seen her around yet

Sonia!She called

Yeah,I nodded

The alpha wants you at the packs clinic.

Right now?My eyes widened. I didn’t realise i would begin working immediately.

Yes, right now

Oh,I uid, looking around. Wasn’t he the same one that wanted Ivy and I to clean this entire house daily!

He had even forgotten about the land he ordered that I turned productive.

I was thankful for that one in particular. There was no way in hell I would have been able to bring myself into that cursed land anymore.

Even the thought of it made me shudder in fear.

He asked that you come with me, she said when I didn’t make a move,

Alright

There was nothing to pick from the house. I just closed the door, and we went on nur way.

It seemed the maid didn’t know about the shortest path. I didn’t want to ratle blanke out, so I kept it to myself

That meant we had to walk over thiny minutes, for what could have been a live minute work

By the time we arrived at the pack clinic, my

y dress clingril to any body because of the sweat dripping from it.

Strange because it was still morning. Then I remembered the heat would get worse because the full moon was fast approaching.

But at least after that, we would have rain. Now that I couldn’t wait for.

She showed me into the clinic, before leaving me behind.

Wolves came in and out of the building, cach looking at me strangely as they passed by me.

I had never seen the building in the day. It was really a pretty design, just like most of the designs of the pack.

Carefully, I went in search of the pack doctor. The maid had left without giving me further instructions. I guess she had done the part she was instructed to do.

ught byy’s scent

My heart began to pound against my chest as I caught

Her wolf was even stronger than before. My legs wanted to move so badly to the room she was, but I knew I would just be looking for trouble if I gave in to the urge.

As I passed by a room. I heard painful groans.

I stopped and turned to the room the sound was coming from.
