The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 495

Victor's expression was icy as he looked at Grace, all traces of fear and affection completely gone.

"I already know that I'm not your biological son. All these years, you never had faith in me and always thought I was incapable. When Natalie was in the Langley family, you made us the villains, forcing us to drain her blood while secretly grooming her to take over Langley Group.

"In the past, we had no idea what your real intentions were. Now, everything is crystal clear. Grace, you adopted me but never treated me well. Do you even have a conscience?"

Grace's face turned ashen. She had never imagined that the son she had raised with her own hands would say such things to her.

She gritted her teeth, her gaze locking onto Victor. "So I raised an ungrateful bastard. Is that it? You were abandoned in a trash bin, and it was out of my kindness that I picked you up, fed you, changed your diapers, and raised you. I even arranged your marriage and gave you a position at Langley Group.

"But you are not my flesh and blood. Your intelligence and abilities are lacking. If Langley Group were in your hands, it would only decline. There would be no prosperity to speak of.

"If you were in charge, the Langley family wouldn't be wealthiest in Amberton. It would be the most bankrupt.

"Victor, a wise person should know their own limits, but you don't. Everything you have is because of me.

"You're not my real son. I didn't want you to marry Diana, yet you defied me. You insisted on going against my wishes. Taking away your daughter was my way of punishing you, a warning for your disobedience."

Grace was completely enraged. These words had been suppressed in her heart for too long. Pushed to the edge by Victor, she blurted them out without thinking.

Diana's eyes reddened. "So you admit it now. You really were the one who got rid of my daughter? You old hag, you have such a cruel heart. If you hated me, you could have come after me directly. Why take my newborn daughter and have her sold like a commodity, forcing her to endure so much suffering?"

Diana suddenly lunged at Grace, grabbing and clawing at her with all her strength. "You old witch, why are you not dead? Why are you still alive?"

Hector immediately pulled Natalie away, distancing her from the chaos. "Nat, let's stay away from this mess."

Natalie remained expressionless as she pulled out her phone and dialed the police. "Hello, I'd like to report a case of human trafficking."

As soon as she spoke, Grace, who had been struggling against Diana, snapped back to her senses. She forcefully shoved Diana away and lunged toward Natalie.

"Nattie, you cannot report this. You cannot."

Hector reacted swiftly, pulling Natalie behind him. "Why not? You dared to commit the crime, but Nat can't report it?"

The bond between Natalie and Grace had long since shattered. Looking at Grace's deceitful face, Natalie could hardly believe that she had been fooled by this woman's fake kindness for so many years.

"Both Selena and I are victims. Why should I not report it?"

"But Selena has hurt you before. Nattie, have you forgotten? When Selena first returned home, they forced you to hand over Langley Group shares. She even took Tyler from you. Tyler was your fiancé. Have you forgotten everything Selena did to hurt you?" Grace sobbed, tears streaming down her face.

Hearing this, Selena immediately rushed forward and slapped Grace twice. "You wretched old hag. Do you really not know why I targeted Natalie? If you hadn't had me sold, would I have suffered all that torment and turned into this?
