After William finished speaking, he took a sip of tea. "Mr. Remington, we're still very busy. Gorge will arrange a meal for you all later. We won't be accompanying you now."
Jonathan looked toward Samuel. The latter didn't look too good, but he still maintained his manners. "Then, we won't bother you two any further." He stood up. "Dad, Mom, let's go."
Sierra quickly followed, standing up as well. "Mr. Walker, Mrs. Walker, we apologize for disturbing you."
William smiled politely. "It's not a disturbance. We're just busy right now and don't have the time to host you properly. Gorge, see Mr. Remington and his family out."
"Yes, sir." Gorge stepped forward and addressed Jonathan's family politely. "Mr. Remington, Mrs. Remington, this way please."
"Alright. Then, we'll take our leave." Jonathan led his family out, and soon they were escorted out of the Walker residence.
Once they were outside, Samuel couldn't hold it in any longer. His expression darkened. "William and Charlotte just didn't want to help. The Sinclair and Walker families were even engaged to each other at one point, and yet he claims they're not close. That's just a lousy excuse. He didn't even try to come up with a better reason."
Sierra said nothing. She had followed Samuel abroad when she was very young and didn't remember much about the Sinclair family. But she did remember that Samantha had treated her very kindly. When Samantha first found her, there was sadness and pity in her eyes. She looked troubled but still chose to take Sierra in.
"Samuel, enough," Jonathan said as he looked out the car window. "We came to Dithoria not only for Mr. Holden and Ms. Walker's wedding, but also to take this as a chance to relax. Melissa has been unwell these past few years, and I haven't been in the mood to travel. Now is a good opportunity to unwind."
"But Sophia refuses to see me. And now Mom listens to her and won't see me either. I just don't get it. What gives Sophia the right to stop me from seeing Mom?"
Samuel took in a deep breath. As they got closer to Dithoria from Amberton, his anxiety grew. The feeling of being near home made him nervous.
Sierra had stayed by his side the entire time, comforting him through his rising unease. By the time they actually stepped into the Walker residence, Samuel was already feeling afraid.
When William and Charlotte essentially showed them the door, he felt oddly relieved.
"Since we're in Dithoria, of course we had to visit the Walkers," Melissa said gently. "If it weren't for them, who knows what would've happened to Sierra back then. Just thinking about what those trafficked children went through gives me nightmares. We were lucky that Sierra met the right people.
"Cee, you must treat Samantha well. Without her, there would be no you as you are now. Do you understand?"
Sierra nodded, resting her head on Melissa's shoulder and hugging her arm. "I know. Even though I've been abroad with Samuel all these years, I've never forgotten Ms. Blair and Sophia."
"Good girl." Melissa gently patted Sierra's shoulder and rolled down the car window, watching the scenery fly by.
"Dithoria is so beautiful. If we weren't already settled in Amberton, moving here wouldn't be a bad idea."
"Mom, do you really want to move to Dithoria?" Sierra was surprised.
"Wherever you are, that's where I want to be. Your father feels the same."
"Really?" Sierra turned to Jonathan. "Dad, do you feel that way too?"
"Of course." Jonathan smiled fondly and nodded. "You're our only daughter. Naturally, we'll go wherever you are. Cee, you grew up in Dithoria. You must have some emotional connection to it, right?"
"I didn't spend much time here," Sierra said. "I do have some feelings for this place, but I wouldn't say they run deep."
The most important person in her life was Samuel. Though they had never lacked money abroad, they were still two children sent away. They had grown up depending solely on each other.

This one gets us readers asking for more! Excellent story, great twists......
Hope Grandpa Charles lives long enough to see Marcus and Nat's children, please. It will make him happy to see life is still worth living and that he didn't fail raising Marcus at least. Let him be happy at least in this aspect. Thanks...
Finished till 538....Waiting for more...
This really hurts. I am confused if Yvette sent a msg saying old love to Charles through Charlene. Why isnt it in her confession. Or did she actually set vivian up into sleeping with that man? And later blackmailed vivian with it till vivian commited suicide? Did Yvetty yhinks Charles would marry her after vivians death but he remained loyal. Hence her anger?...
Hope Nat can cure Marcus' mom. Looking forward to new updates. Thank you...
