The Hidden Gold Mine Heiress Divorcee novel Chapter 383

Chapter 383 Vivi Disfigured

Ziana was startled and quickly raised her hand to cover her neck.

Marlyn looked at her and laughed, pointing to the location on her neck. “Right here.”

She fetched a mirror and handed it to Ziana.

Ziana glanced at it and was absolutely furious.

There was a huge h*ckey!

She pulled her collar up in frustration, but Marlyn couldn’t bear to see it and reminded her, “No need to pull it up. It’s not visible.”

“Oh,” Ziana said sheepishly.

Marlyn wasn’t in a hurry and didn’t ask further. She casually waited, not even looking at Ziana anymore, but instead sipped her coffee.

Ziana felt awkward and cleared her throat. “Don’t tell anyone, and don’t mention it to my brother.”

“I’ve got a tight seal on my lips.” Marlyn looked at her eagerly. “Besides, who even talks about this? But wait, do you have a new man in your life, or…”

“It’s him.” Ziana pursed her lips. “Boris.”

“I

“What!” Marlyn was slightly excited. “Have you rekindled your old flame?”

“No,” Ziana quickly responded, “Last night, I… Never mind. Forget it. He explained to me this morning the reason he pushed me for a divorce.”

Marlyn probed, “There was indeed a reason. What is it? Is it similar to what we guessed before?”

Ziana had to admire her. She could guess so accurately, even with a casual guess.

“Exactly, he did have his reasons. He was concerned about the Lewis family’s affairs affecting and hurting me.”

“And then?”

“He begged for my forgiveness.”

Get Bogl

Marlyn observed closely, looking at her expression, and knew what her response would

be.

She advised, “Of course, you can’t forgive him so easily! Otherwise, he won’t learn his lesson! You don’t have to forgive just because he made a mistake and apologized. The damage he caused won’t disappear completely with just a few words of apology.”

“Yeah.”

Ziana didn’t want to dwell on this topic any longer. She got up and headed upstairs. “I’ll

go rest for a while.”

“Sure, okay.” Marlyn knew she was probably feeling frustrated and distracted, so she

waved her off.

After Ziana left, Marlyn took out her phone and logged into her Instagram account to

post for the day.

[Are Mr. Lewis and Ziana together today? No.]

Ziana went upstairs and took a nap. When she woke up, Marlyn came to see her again,

handing her a box in a secretive manner.

“You might need this.”

Ziana looked down and saw emergency contraception pills.

After getting divorced, Ziana definitely didn’t want to end up pregnant with her

ex-husband’s child, so she quickly took the pills.

Marlyn looked at her face and chuckled. “Do you want to go downstairs and take a look? There are guests at home, and he’s making Mrs. Scott all smiles.”

“Who’s here?”

“You’ll find out when you see.

Ziana followed Marlyn downstairs, and as soon as they got out of the elevator, she

heard Steven’s voice.

“You can’t possibly be a middle-aged woman. I thought you and Ziana were sisters! I’m so heartbroken. I was born more than twenty years too late. Otherwise, I would definitely pursue you, Mrs. Scott.”

Yudel, who was sitting beside them, cleared his throat as a warning, “Tonight, my father might be having dinner at your house, Mr. Howard.”

“No!” Steven conceded, his face showing a fawning expression. “I was merely complimenting Mrs. Scott. I didn’t have any ulterior motives. Besides, how could I ever compare to Mr. Scott? Mr. Scott is handsome, charming, and charismatic. Compared to him, I’m like a toad in a muddy ditch.”
