Chapter 36 – A Date
LIAM
Tomorrow it‘s exactly one year ago I found Laura in the forest, it was the start of a new and better start in my life. And even though I don‘t like the different troubles we had in beginning, I won‘t change a thing today, because, in the end, I have the most amazing woman in my life.
I want to do something special for her tomorrow. And I have already planned with my mom that she will look after the twins. And I have had some omegas go to a lake house that I own but haven’t been at for years. I am sure it most likely needed a good cleaning.
I have lately been thinking a lot about Laura and our future. I know I love her and that it is her who makes me happy and whole. She is the one I want to be with and have next to me. And I would love to see her carry my mark, but I would be proud to carry hers as well. Mom knows this and assured me the pack will b e happy and proud to have her rule by my side.
Entering the house, I can hear laughter coming from the kitchen and I find Laura, my mom, and Cora there with all the kids. I lock eyes with Laura and she smiles at me. I walk over stand behind her chair and put m y arms around her
“There is something for you in our room.” She looks confused at me.
“What is it?” I smile at her.
“A dress. I want to take you out tomorrow. Mom already agreed to look after the kids.” I tell her and kiss her softly, making her blush. She always blushes when I kiss her in front of others. She looks at me and nods with a smile.
“Okay.”
I am standing in front of the floor–to–ceiling mirror in the bathroom, looking at myself wearing the dress. A so soft blue, almost white, tight dress, stopping just below my thighs, with thin shoulder straps. I looked in the walk–in closet and found a pair of white strapped heels. I braided my long hair because I know how much Liam loves it. Cora had helped me and put light makeup on for me. I heard the door to the room open and walked out of the bathroom. Liam was there and he froze when he saw me, before coming over to me.
“You look breathtaking.” He says softly running his nose down my neck before kissing it where it meets the shoulder. I shudder and bite my tongue so I won‘t moan.
“Thank you, you don’t look too bad yourself,” I tell him and he chuckles.
He takes my hand and we leave the room and go check and kiss the twins before we go. When we are in his car he grabs my hand and holds it in his, while we talk about pack stuff, he also tells me he is proud of how well I do with the combat training I have started. When he first brought it up I had been nervous, but the more we trained together, the more confidence I got and now I actually enjoyed the 3 mornings, where we go and train.
We have been driving for an hour and a half, when Liam got off the main road and took a turn down a dirt road, I looked at him and he smile. After 15 minutes on this road, we came to a big open clearing where a big log cabin build next to a big lake. I looked at him.
“Welcome to my vacation house, I bought this place and had the cabin built 4 years ago. I have still to
actually use it.”
“Really?” he nods.
“I have had it cleaned and arranged with food and clothes, I wanted us to stay the night. Mom actually gave me the idea.” I smile at him and we get out of the car. The sun is about to disappear behind the trees, and the full moon is beginning to come forward.
Liam takes my hand and leads me into the cabin. It‘s stunning. The logs the house is built of are giving the house a cozy and warm feeling. When you enter you enter into a big open area with a living room, kitchen, and dining area in one. But right now candles everywhere are lit and the smell of the most delicious food reaches us. Looking around an older woman I recognize as miss Johnson from the pack is standing in the kitchen.
