The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 1387

Chapter 1387

Ida cracked a small smile. "Don't get too cocky. Crescent Society can function just fine without your business. We can handle the loss.

I appreciate the romantic gestures you put together today, but I'm not into them. I'm not that naive girl who could be fooled that easily anymore."

Ethan seemed taken aback by her words, and he furrowed his brows. "Ida..."

But Ida didn't give him a chance to say more. She yelled towards the box door, "Chase!"

“I'm here!"

Chase immediately emerged from the private room.

Ida tossed the car keys to him. "You haven't had a drink, so you drive. We're leaving."

Chase caught the keys and joked, "Well, aren't you treating me like your chauffeur?"

Ida ignored him and started walking towards the exit, waiting at the door for the car.

Soon, Chase drove the car to the door, and Ida got in.

As soon as they got in the car, Chase started teasing Ida.

"Ida, your ex-boyfriend may not be much, but he's got some valuable stuff. He has a lot of resources from big corporations. Are you sure you want to reject him and not collaborate in the future?"

Ida glanced at him disdainfully. "Are you interested in him? How about I introduce you to him? You can date him for those resources."

While lost in thought, lda absentmindedly looked out the car window and realized they weren't on the way home. She asked Chase, "Where are we going this late?"

"We're going to check on our boss at the Howard family’s place. I heard Theo flew to M State to deal with that Sophia issue today. I bet our boss is feeling down. I can't help but worry. I need to check on her."

Ida's face fell a little upon hearing that they were heading to the Howard family's place.

Chase saw through her and raised an eyebrow. "What? Afraid of running into Byran again?"

Ida frowned slightly. "I'm not afraid of him. I’m just tired and want to go home."

"So, home then?"

"Forget it; let's go see our boss. I'm worried about her too."
