The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 1475

Chapter 1475

Just as she predicted, it was this woman who was maliciously inflating the price.

The plot of land was owned by Sophia’s father, and she was pretending to be a customer to bid up the price, just to increase her own family’s profits.

In the auction world, this was absolutely against the rules.

Sophia, thinking that it was just a waiter coming in, didn’t look up. She merely sipped her coffee in contemplation. “Just leave the things and go.”

After giving her instructions, she didn’t receive the polite response she expected from the waiter. It was then that Sophia realized something was off. She looked up, and her eyes widened in surprise.

“Ellinor?! What are you doing here?”

Sophia’s first reaction was surprise and disgust, followed by a hint of guilt in her eyes. She quickly glanced behind Ellinor, afraid that her husband and son might

walk in.

The corner of Ellinor’s lips curled up in a sarcastic smile. “Don’t you think your actions are pretty low, Ms. Sophia?”

Sophia frowned at the comment. “What did I do? Ellinor, are you here to pick a fight because you’re feeling bitter about being single?”

Ellinor stepped into her private room and gently closed the door.

“The Blue River Estates land. It’s owned by your family, right?”

Sophia’s eyes darkened at this question. “Why are you asking about this? What does it have to do with you?”

“It has everything to do with me because I was the one who just won that land in the auction for a hundred million!”

Sophia paused. “You? So, it was you! Can’t afford the price, so you came to pick a fight with me? If you couldn’t afford it, you shouldn’t have bid against me. Now you want to back out after the gavel fell? That’s illegal!”

Ellinor let out a cold laugh. “You’re talking about what’s illegal? You came here to inflate the price of your father’s land in the auction. Do you think that’s legal?”

Sophia rolled her eyes. “Do you have any proof that the land belongs to my father? If not, I suggest you leave immediately, or I’ll call security.”

Sophia was feeling nervous, not about what Ellinor was accusing her of, but worried that her husband and son might come back and see Ellinor.

That would complicate things.

Ellinor frowned slightly. “I don’t have any evidence at the moment, but I won’t let you take advantage of me. After the auction, we can discuss with the head of the auction house whether the price is valid or not.”

Sophia vaguely heard the sound of her husband’s wheelchair and hurriedly said, “Get out! This is a private room! You have no right to be here!”

Ellinor was just here to confirm her suspicions. She didn’t want to waste time arguing with Sophia. She gave her a quick glance and then turned to leave.

When the auction was over, she would settle the score.

As Ellinor walked out, Marcus and their son returned.
