The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 1546

Chapter 1546

Belinda crossed her arms. “What do you mean ‘me’? If you’re as great as you claim, Mr. Dominic, then why are you on a blind date?”

Dominic erupted. He slapped the table and stood up. “If it weren’t for our parents’ friendship, do you think I’d bother meeting an old maid like you?”

“Who are you calling an old maid? I’m younger than you! If anything, you’re the one who’s getting old, and you’re still single!” Belinda shot back.

Dominic, unable to retort, let his temper flare and reached for his glass of lemonade, ready to splash it at her. Suddenly, a hand shot out and grabbed his

wrist.

Belinda was already bracing for the splash, but it never came. She looked up in surprise, only to see Chase.

Chase stopped Dominic’s hand, took the lemonade, and smoothly poured it into a nearby trash bin.

Dominic looked at the newcomer, then at his empty glass. Irritated, he asked, “Who are you to be wasting my drink?”

Chase placed the empty glass back on the table, smirking. “I just hate seeing a grown man trying to splash a lady with a drink.””

Dominic, several inches shorter than Chase, who was six-foot-two, felt a sting to his ego. He retorted. “I’m arguing with my woman. It’s none of your

business! Mind your own!”

Chase chuckled. “Your woman? You mean the beautiful lady sitting across from you?”

Dominic puffed out his chest. “Yes! Now scram, this isn’t your business! Or I’ll have the restaurant’s security toss you out!”

Chase merely smirked and pulled up a chair next to Belinda. “Go ahead and call them. Let’s see if they’ll throw out me or the trash who’s ready to assault a lady.”

Dominic was further agitated by Chase’s actions. “Who told you to sit down? Get away from my woman!”

Ignoring him, Chase turned to Belinda, asking, “Belinda, is it true? Are you his woman?”
