The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 1658

Chapter 1658

Byran took a few steps closer, cornering Ida against the elevator wall. He reached up to gently tilt her chin, “What do you think I’m doing?”

At the Blanchet Villa.

After tucking the three kids into bed, Ellinor prepared to turn in for the night. She was tired.

As she stretched her arm to switch off the lights, there was a soft knock on the door.

It was a soft knock, careful not to wake the children.

Ellinor got up quietly and opened the door to find Veronica, her face full of worry.

“What’s wrong? Why are you still awake?”

Veronica frowned, “Ellinor, are the kids asleep?”

Ellinor glanced back into the room, “Yeah, they just fell asleep.”

Veronica continued, “Granny and Grandpa are asleep too. Can I come in and talk to you?”

Ellinor knew what she wanted to discuss. She wanted to refuse but seeing Veronica’s restless expression, she nodded and let her in.

Veronica tip-toed in, sat on the couch, and spoke in hushed tones.

‘Ellinor, when did you find out that my brother was trapped with Sophia?”

Ellinor sat next to Veronica and replied softly, “A bit earlier than you guys.”

Veronica scrunched up her forehead in annoyance, “Then why didn’t you tell me? You know we were all worried sick about my brother!”

Ellinor held her forehead with one hand, “What good would it do to tell you? We can’t get him back right now anyway. Knowing earlier would only cause unnecessary worry.”

Veronica disagreed, “You can’t think like that, Ellinor! We can all figure it out together! There is strength in numbers! And even though Thaddeus is powerful, the Blanchet family is no pushover! I refuse to believe we can’t get my brother back!”

Ellinor frowned seriously, “It’s fine for you to know about this, but never tell Granny and Grandpa.”

Veronica nodded, “Don’t worry, I won’t. They’re not in the right health to handle this stress. That’s why I waited until they fell asleep to come talk to you.”
