Ellinor spotted her. 

As Ellinor was discussing the development plans for Blue River Estates with Bartlett, she felt a gaze on her. She turned to see Sophia, Theo, and Tristan. 

She never expected to run into them here. 

Bartlett was listening to her attentively and was looking at her with eyes full of admiration. He rarely met such astute and strategic women, and the more he got to know Ellinor, the more he liked her. 

However, Ellinor suddenly stopped talking, which puzzled Bartlett. Following her gaze, he froze. 

Theo? 

How? 

Was he back?! 

After a long, silent exchange, Bartlett regained his composure and turned to Ellinor. “Ellinor, Theo is…” 

Before he could finish his sentence, Ellinor was already on her way towards them. 

She approached Sophia and Marcus with a glare. “So, this is your husband!” 

Naturally, Sophia felt guilty. She wanted to quickly leave with Marcus, but it was too late, as Ellinor had already seen them. 

If she abruptly ran off with Marcus, it would arouse his suspicion. So she stood still, watching Ellinor approach without making a move. 

Ellinor’s eyes were filled with resentment, and her lips were curled into a sarcastic sneer. 

Sophia regained her composure and put on a calm facade. “Ellinor, what a coincidence to meet you here. Are you here with your boyfriend?” 

Boyfriend? 

Ellinor realized Sophia was referring to Bartlett, who was standing beside her. 

“I don’t have a boyfriend. I’m here on business.” Ellinor feigned anger and looked at Marcus. “You’ve lived quite the carefree life in the three years we 

haven’t seen each other.” 

Marcus looked confused. “Who are you?” 

The couple’s act was so convincing that even Sophia was fooled. 

In truth, Ellinor didn’t want to confront them. However, she unintentionally saw Sophia with him and had no chance to avoid them. If she didn’t react at this moment, Sophia would become suspicious. 

So she had to confront them, pretending to question them out of resentment. 

After Marcus asked who Ellinor was, he looked at Sophia in confusion. “Who is she?” 

Sophia maintained her composure, although she felt incredibly guilty inside. She forced a smile. “Ah… She’s an old friend. We haven’t seen each other in a Jong time.”
