The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2071

Chapter 2071

“Why are you so scared of her? It was her mistake, not mine. Seriously, anyone that scatter-brained is never going to make it big. Was Colton drunk when he decided on the casting?”

Ivy’s grip tightened, her palms clammy as the tirade escalated from misplaced scripts to doubts about her rising stardom, to questioning Colton’s judgment in choosing her.

She was about to step forward and defend herself when a soft exclamation drifted over, “Found it, found it!”

A crew member scurried over and handed Ivy the script, “It was by the snack table. Maybe you left it there when you grabbed something to eat?”

Before Ivy could protest her innocence, the clearly irritated assistant interjected, “This is why you need to be more responsible. Indulging your sweet tooth and making the rest of us run around, that’s unbelievable!”

“Hey come on, maybe the script got moved when they added new scenes. Give it a rest, will you?”

Ivy was the one who was speechless now. She hadn’t even touched the food, let alone knew what Giselle had ordered. How could she possibly have left the script there?

Meanwhile, Giselle sauntered over, her arrival reminiscent of a model strutting down a fashion runway, “Hey, what’s wrong with you?”

Earlier, she had taken Ivy’s script for the next episode when no one was paying attention, ripping out the lines for Ivy’s upcoming scene and replacing them with some content she’d scavenged from the internet.

Let Ivy make a fool of herself in front of Colton, and everyone would see the true caliber of this ‘newbie’.

Ivy could look forward to being Colton’s first fired actress!

Soon enough, the role would be hers again, and only Giselle could do it justice.

Imagining Ivy’s upcoming humiliation, Giselle could barely contain her smirk.

“You guys chat, I need to make a call.”

“Sure, go ahead, Giselle. Ivy’s assistant, who seemed to prefer Giselle over Ivy, was all smiles.

Ivy reclaimed her script without checking it, her mind replaying Colton’s directions and how she intended to portray her character.

“Hey Cedric, you still at the film lot?”

“Oh, the diva Giselle remembers me? What’s the scoop, you got some juicy gossip?”

Cedric was a notorious gossip journalist in the industry, made famous for digging into celebrities’ private lives. Now he only chased the big, explosive stories that fans took as gospel.

Many stars had under-the-table dealings with him, whether for publicity or to spill the beans on their competitors.

Such was the norm.

“Get down to Colton’s set, and I promise you’ll get what you’re after.”

“Colton’s new project? It’s not even out yet; you sure I’ll get something good?”
