Raven was practically giddy at the thought of being flush with cash. “Yeah. With this kind of dough, we guys can hit the road and go wherever we want!” 

Ivy had not expected them to bring the person back so soon, let alone that the person in question would be her half-sister, Clara! 

“Clara?” 

Ivy’s brows furrowed deep with concern. Even though her relationship with Clara was rocky, she never imagined her sister would stoop so low as to kidnap her. 

She had already moved out from the Dunhill mansion, so why could Clara not just leave her be? What more did she want? 

To think Clara would resort to such cruel and underhanded tactics against her kin. Had Ivy ever wronged her sister so grievously? 

After a rough ride, Clara, too, came to her senses as she was unceremoniously dumped onto the cold floor, her hands bound behind her back. 

Regaining consciousness, Clara demanded with fury, “Have you all lost your minds? We had a deal. I was supposed to wire the money after the job was done. Why on earth have you tied me up? You’ve made a mistake!” 

“No mistake here. We tied you up because your offer just didn’t cut it,” retorted one of the thugs as he roughly helped her to sit up, facing lvy, who was tied up on the bed. 

Clara was stunned. Seeing Ivy unharmed, she snapped, “What’s the meaning of this? Why haven’t you laid a finger on that wretch? What are you waiting for? Strip her down already!” 

The roughnecks remained motionless at Clara’s command. 

Ivy let out a cold laugh. “No matter how much you bark orders at them, they won’t listen. Want to know why? Because they work for me now! Clara, it’s a taste of your own medicine. 

Whatever you wanted them to do to me, they’ll now do to you. You were so eager to see action? Well, enjoy the show.” 

Before Ivy could finish, the thugs closed in on Clara, who began to shuffle back in terror, “You… You lunatics, how could you turn on me like this? I already paid you a down payment. Don’t you want the rest of the money?” 

One of the thugs, with a sneer, dismissed her, “Quit playing the poor card with us. That chump change? You think we’re beggars? No wonder you can’t hold a candle to Ivy. She’s already wired us a cool million. You say you look a bit like Ivy, but damn, the difference in class couldn’t be starker.” 

“Of course, she looks somewhat like me. It’s because we’re half-sisters!” Ivy interjected coldly from behind.
