Chapter 226 

A tiny earring couldn’t show fingerprints, and even if it did, they’d be rubbed off on the horse by now. There wasn’t any surveillance in the woods, so yeah, there’s no concrete evidence pointing to Haillie. 

But everyone knew what was really going on 

Theo didn’t reply to Haillie and just lifted his hand to adjust Ellinor’s Jacket 

“It’s cold here, let’s go back to the hotel at the racecourse” 

The hotel at the Mountain Racecourse. 

A doctor rushed over to examine the snakebite on Ellinor’s arm and commended them on their quick thinking. Even though the snake wasn’t poisonous, they’d done well to apply herbs to the wound, which would kill bacteria and prevent infection. 

Only after the doctor confirmed that the snake was non–venomous did Theo finally relax. 

The doctor gave Ellinor a few more instructions, telling her to keep the wound dry, and then left after checking on Theo 

Once the doctor was gone, Ellinor asked Belinda to fetch some cling film from the kitchen. 

She wrapped the film around the wound to keep it dry, then headed to the bathroom to take a shower. 

She was all mucked up from today’s cliff adventure, and her hair was full of dust. She’d feel uncomfortable if she did not have a shower, and she probably couldn’t even sleep 

Theo knew what Ellinor was up to the moment she started wrapping the cling film around her wound. 

He lazily leaned against the bathroom door, his tall frame slightly tilted, arms crossed, watching her “Need a hand?” 

Ellinor frowned at his teasing and replied sarcastically. “Thanks for the offer, Theo, but how could I trouble you with this!” 

Theo leaned closer and whispered into her ear with a smirk, “No trouble at all. I’d be more than happy to assist you.” 

Ellinor smiled faintly, “No need!” 

Theo’s laugh grew louder, “Are you sure you don’t want to reconsider? My services are top–notch and are guaranteed to make you comfortable” 

Comfortable? 

What was he saying?! 

Ellinor was blushing furiously as she glared at him, “Theo, you’re a shameless pervert!” 

Theo explained in all seriousness, “I was talking about giving you a massage. What were you thinking?” 

Ellinor was beyond embarrassed, “You…” 

Unable to counter him, she decided to avoid him instead! 

She quickly stepped into the bathroom and locked the door! 

He had taken to teasing Ellinor, finding her blushing reactions amusing. 

Belinda, who was also in the room, had witnessed their playful exchange and was laughing. 

“Uncle, so this is how you are around Ellinort 

Theo’s smile vanished instantly, and he resumed his usually stern expression, shooting Belinda a harsh glance. “Stay here and keep her company; I’m stepping out.” Belinda quickly agreed, “Sure thing, Uncle! Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of Ellinor!” 

Theo responded and turned to leave
