The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2395

Chapter 2395

“Do you seriously think I’d fool around with other women behind your back?”

The accusation not only embarrassed Balfour, but the look of indifference on Ivy’s face was downright disheartening.

So, did everything he did just not matter to her?

Wouldn’t she even get jealous or hurt seeing him cozy up to another woman in a photo? What did that make their relationship?

Did she ever have even a shred of feeling for him?

Ivy was taken aback by Balfour’s reaction.

“It was you in those photos with another woman, not me. You’re the one who should be explaining things!”

Balfour quickly masked his moment of vulnerability and once again donned the imperious demeanor of Mr. Howard.

“It’s clear you have no feelings for me, otherwise, you wouldn’t be so cool about it.”

Alyssa never expected their conversation to turn into an argument so quickly, and she rubbed her temple in exasperation.

“Stop! Can you two just listen for a second? Balfour, don’t you have any doubts at all? How did you end up in intimate photos with another woman without your knowledge? Oh yes, that woman the one you always said was so ‘kind-hearted’ – Mara Lewis. She sneaked into your study that night and took those photos with you. Too bad I didn’t arrive sooner, or I would have caught her red-handed”

Balfour was clueless. “When did she take them? Grandma, are you sure you’re not mistaken? I don’t remember taking any photos with her.”

Dean slammed his hand down and asked, “Are you stupid? Mara drugged your milk, that’s why you don’t remember a thing. You fool, to be drugged in your own home! If someone were to poison you in your sleep, you’d be none the wiser!”

Dean’s words were harsh because he was truly angry.

Balfour’s inability to judge character could be fatal.

They had raised him from a baby to a grown man; how could they stand by and watch him get hurt?

He wanted to make it clear to Balfour that Mara was trouble, that it would be best to keep her at arm’s length.

“Mara? Why would she do that? Grandpa, Grandma, are you sure you haven’t got it wrong?
