The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2667

Looking at the haute couture gowns Evadne had selected for her, there was a hint of concern in Ivy's voice as she said, "Evadne, don't you think it's a bit much for a newbie like me to be wearing these designer pieces? I mean, it's kinda shouty, isn't it?"

Evadne shot her a look that could wilt flowers. "Honey, every starlet is trying to outshine the other at this event. Don't tell me you plan to show up in something off-the-rack. Your fans would have my head on a platter!"

Ivy pouted. "Come on, Evadne. My fans aren't that unreasonable."

"Oh, sure, they're the epitome of reason, and so are you. It's just me who's the uncultured swine, right? Pick one already. Your fans definitely want to see you looking drop-dead gorgeous."

The mention of her fans was enough to soften Ivy. The gowns were indeed stunning. Balfour had made it clear that whatever Ivy wanted, she could have—no need to borrow like other celebs.

The dresses were all at Ivy's fingertips, waiting for her to make her choice before anyone else got a look-in.

Ivy found each piece appealing, so Evadne suggested she try on each one. Of course, she didn't forget to send snapshots to Balfour during the process.

Before Ivy could decide, Balfour's call came through. "Go with the white one."

His voice was husky, and Ivy couldn't help but blush. "Are the others not pretty?"

"You'd look good in a potato sack," Balfour responded truthfully. Ivy's figure was a perfect hourglass, and at five foot six, her proportions were impeccable. Any dress would be flattered by her frame.

Considering the recent online spat between Ivy's fans and another leading lady's supporters—accusing Ivy of being desperate for attention, something she was unaware of—Balfour had already taken it to heart.

Evadne couldn't suppress a triumphant grin at the thought of them attending the Golden Feather Award together. It was time to slap down the naysayers and show how much Balfour truly valued Ivy!

Right up until the day of the Golden Feather Award, Ivy was unaware that Balfour would be there. After posting a departure photo, she even sent him a live-stream link, affectionately adding, "Enjoy your wife's beauty!"

"Isn't the impact better in person?" Balfour casually mentioned, to which Ivy muttered, "I wish you could see it in person!"
