The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2713

The other reporters weren't exactly rallying around Ahab. After all, Ahab had launched a few campaigns without success, and now, Regina, the rookie, had stumbled into a stroke of luck. They were hardly thrilled.

But they wouldn't bad-mouth their interviewee. After all, they might have to work with Dahlia again. If word got to Dahlia that they were talking smack, how could they expect to keep the lines of communication open?

Still, curiosity ate at them. How did Regina manage to snag an interview with a subject that had eluded everyone else?

When Regina got home, she didn't rest. She knew the chatter behind her back was inevitable, but idle gossip was old hat to her.

Her home office, once a simple study, had been transformed into a command center plastered with information about Dahlia.

It was only after she unearthed the ties between Dahlia and Nolan that she dug up everything she could on Nolan. The deeper she delved, the more his accomplishments floored her. Who would have thought someone so young could achieve so much?

No wonder Francis was bending over backward, practically dying to marry her off to him. It was a pity that things had gotten a bit, well, complicated between them.

After their last communication, she had to admit, there was something about the guy. Maybe they could be friends, just regular friends.

Regina chuckled at the thought.

Who was she kidding? She was way out of his league.

Despite her family's modest wealth, they were small potatoes compared to Nolan.

Regina sighed. When would her shot at the big time come?

Of course, she was also eager to probe into the relationship between Dahlia and Nolan. Who wouldn't be curious about the love story between a young, dazzling dancer and a hotshot CEO?

She knew that once the interview aired, it would be a sensation.

Imagining the envious and begrudging looks from the seasoned reporters once she nailed this story, Regina couldn't help but smile smugly.

After days of her colleague’s condescension, she finally had a hot topic to work with. Spinning around in her chair, she pumped herself up for the next day.

Bright and early, Regina was all fired up, running on less than three hours of sleep and a shot of espresso. She was ready to take on the world—or at least Dahlia's interview.
