The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2824

Nolan had only heard Imogen's voice. Before the door burst open, she only had the time to lay Regina back on the bed without even tucking her in with a cozy blanket.

"Watch your tone," Imogen scolded with the concern of a blooming daffodil for Regina, "for all you know, Regina might just be out there falling in love. If she’s innocent, you can't just swallow every piece of gossip without trusting your own child."

Imogen's words were laced with care, but Francis was shrouded in a storm cloud of moodiness. He refused to believe the slander on his daughter, but doubt crept into his heart when those photographs were thrust before his eyes. Had he been too strict? Had he pushed her into this rebellious phase, driving her to act out in such a way? How would he face his deceased wife if Regina truly had changed like this? Frustrated, he remained silent throughout the journey.

But upon opening the door, they were greeted by an unexpected person, and Imogen's expression soured instantly.

"You? What are you doing here?" she snapped.

Francis’ gaze instantly fixed on Regina, who was lying behind him.

Even as her father, propriety demanded he step aside. He pulled Imogen out the door without another word.

"Get yourselves sorted out before you come back."

It was the first time he had asserted his seniority in front of Nolan, his brow furrowed as he stared at the still unconscious Regina on the bed. She needed to be rushed to the hospital, and fast.

How to swiftly handle the situation, especially with Imogen, whose mouth never seemed to shut? Nolan could easily guess that Regina's presence in this hotel was no coincidence.

The woman's malice knew no bounds, using such underhanded tactics to try and ruin Regina!

Had he not arrived when he did, who knows what Regina would have had to face.

Imogen, meanwhile, couldn't have foreseen that she’d see Nolan behind that door.
