Baber cracked his eyes open, even though he had been through hell. He was as pale as a ghost and looked pretty worn out. 

After the shock, the Howard clan swarmed around Baber, all very concerned 

As soon as Baber came to, Ellinor’s nerves started to unwind. She stood up and backed off a bit, naturally leaning against Theo and letting out a relieved sigh
