Ellinor gave Theo a mocking smile, her face as calm as ever, “Really? You’re suspicious of me too, Mr Blanche17” Thea smirked. “Suspicious of what? That you sold yourself to a stranger as a graduation gift? 

Ellinor was taken aback and shot him a glare Was Mr Blanchet really in the mood to joke around at this moment? 

However, his sarcastic tone didn’t suggest he was suspicious of her 

Ignoring Theo, Ellinor turned to the police officer and asked, “Officer, how should I cooperate with your investigation?” 

“You come with me first, the officer responded sternly 

“Ellinor Manssa nervously grabbed her arm, her face filled with worry 

Giving Marissa an apologetic smile, Ellinor said, “I’m sorry, Granny, I might not be able to have dinner with you today.” 

Marissa looked shocked, “Ellinor, did you really.” 

Without further explanation, Ellinor followed the officer to the interrogation room. 

As she passed by Veronica, a triumphant smile spread across her face. She smugly said, “Ellinor, did you think you could run home and act like nothing happened? You can’t 

fool me!” 

Ellinor stopped in her tracks and looked at her calmly. “Ms Veronica, why are you so sure that woman was me? What did you see? Or do you have any evidence? Do you dare to speak up?” 

A flicker of guilt crossed Veronica’s face, but she scoffed dismissively “I didn’t see anything, and I have no evidence. It’s just my gut feeling! Ellinor, do you still want to argue? Let’s see how you explain yourself when the police figure it out!” 

Ellinor said nothing more. She lowered her head and silently followed the officer into the interrogation room. 

Veronica was pleased with the situation, looking confident and satisfied. “Just wait and see, Brother, Granny. Ellinor’s true colours will be revealed soon!” 

Marissa was in shock and looked unwell. Collin helped her to a seat in the waiting area of the police station. 

He approached Theo and asked, ‘Mr Blanchet, should I call the commissioner about Ms Mendoza’s situation?” 

Theo, his face inscrutable, said nothing 

“Mr Blanchet?” Collin called out, thinking Theo hadn’t heard him. 

Theo turned away, lighting a cigarette with elegance. He said coolly, “Leave her. If she’s done something, she should face the consequences. If she hasn’t, she won’t be held here 

Collin nodded, “Understood 

Veronica was elated at her brother’s indifference to Ellinor. She was sure that Ellinor was done for this time. 

About ten minutes later, Ellinor emerged from the interrogation room, looking confident and composed. 

The stern officer who had taken her away was now awkwardly apologizing to her and politely escorted her to the lobby. 

Veronica rushed over to ask, “Officer, what happened? Was she the one soliciting at the Blanchet Hotel?” 

The officer shook his head, “We’ve confirmed the situation. The incident you reported has nothing to do with Miss Ethnor.” 

“What? Nothing to do with her?” Veronica was dissatisfied with the result. She demanded, “Did you really check? I’m sure it was her How could it have nothing to do with her? Tell me, did she bribe you?” 

The officer was clearly angry at Veronica’s accusation. He responded sternly, “I can assure you, our colleagues have apprehended the woman involved in the illegal activity, and she is being dealt with. Miss Ellinor is just an unfortunate victim whose ID was stolen by the criminal. She booked a room at the Blanchet Hotel and just happened to wear the same clothes as the suspect, that’s all.” 

Veronica was about to argue with the officer when the siren of a police car sounded outside. 

Not long after the siren stopped, a woman dressed exactly like Ellinor was brought in by two officers, “You’re not going anywhere!” 

Veronica was dumbfounded 

The officer said to Veronica, “See that? The woman who was just brought back is the real suspect.” 

Veronica frowned at the female suspect. Shaking her head, she said, “No, that’s not right! She’s not the one.”
