The Lawyer’s Romance in Law novel Chapter 319

Chapter 319 Did Daddy Bite You?

The obedient boy stopped moving after that, and he simply stared at Amanda with his round, innocent eyes. Amanda felt like her heart was about to melt at that moment.

“Why?” the young boy asked.

Amanda couldn’t help but feel a surge of guilt when she saw the child’s adorable but confused expression. It’s all that b*stard’s fault!

“Well, because… I’m sleeping on the bed, so you can’t come over!” She was completely naked under the sheets. How was she going to hug Aiden if he came any closer to her? Furthermore, Aiden was already three years old-he was old enough to understand a lot of things!

The boy stuck his lower lip out and pouted as he continued to crawl toward her.

Amanda was too stunned to speak for a moment. If he tries to climb under the sheets with me….

Seconds later, Elias reached his arm over and scooped the young boy up from the bed. “Mommy’s not free to hug you now. I can carry you around,” Elias offered.

The boy turned around and glared at Elias for a moment before he started thrashing his arms around. “No! No! I don’t want Daddy to carry me! Let go of me! Save me, Mommy! Daddy’s evil!” Aiden was one to hold onto grudges.

Elias was amused by the young boy’s actions, and he gave the boy a light smack on his bum. “I was just a little stern with you earlier. Does that make me a bad guy?”

“That’s right! You’re a bad guy. You’re evil! I don’t want you to carry me. I want Mommy instead,” Aiden whined.

Elias brought the young boy out to the balcony so that Amanda could get the chance to get dressed. He was even thoughtful enough to close the balcony door behind him. Amanda heaved a sigh of relief after she saw the man walking out, and she hastily picked up all her clothes before getting dressed. She hoped that she would be able to get fully dressed before Aiden next entered the room again.

In the meantime, Elias brought Aiden out to enjoy the view of the estate from the balcony. However, Aiden wasn’t in the mood to do that at all. He was still grumpy, especially after recalling how his father had scolded him earlier that day. “Let me down. I don’t want you to carry me, Daddy! I don’t like you. I only like Mommy, and I want to go home with Mommy!”

The young baby kept trying to wriggle out of the man’s arms. He insisted on walking around on his own, but Elias didn’t allow him to do so. Instead, Elias placed the boy on a higher ledge while keeping his arms on the boy’s sides just to protect the boy.

“Why are you as vengeful as your mother? I just raised my voice a little earlier. Why don’t you forgive me?” Elias noticed the similarities in physical appearances between himself and Aiden, but he also noticed the similarities in personality between Aiden and Amanda. The similarities were especially pronounced when it came to the way they held onto grudges.

“No!” The boy crossed his arms and let out a grunt before turning his head away,

Elias couldn’t help but chuckle at the adorable look on the young boy’s face. He reached his slender fingers over and tapped the child on his nose while speaking in an affectionate tone. “What do you need me to do.

for you to forgive me, then?”

“I’m not going to forgive you! I’ll never forgive you. I hate you, Daddy! I don’t like you! I only like Mommy, and I’m going to look for Mommy. Put me down!” Aiden took a glance at the floor beneath him He wanted to jump off the ledge, but he felt like it was too high for him.

Elias frowned a little as he spoke. “How could you speak to me in that tone when you’re asking me for at favor? I might consider letting you down if you change your tone a little,” he offered.

“Please let me down. I want to go to Mommy…” The young boy was losing his patience, and he pouted as tears began to form in his eyes.

Elias only felt more amused to see the helpless and miserable look on the young boy’s face. “Well, I want you to forgive me first. I’ll let you down if you forgive me,” he uttered with a smile.

Aiden’s round eyes widened before he responded in a grumpy tone, I’m not going to forgive you! Let me down!”

“I won’t let you down, then. You’ll have to get down on your own,” Elias replied in a childish tone. There was a hint of a smile on the man’s lips as he saw the feeble look on Aiden’s face. He’s so cute, he thought.

Aiden’s lower lip trembled for a moment before he started crying. “Mommy… I want Mommy…”

“Don’t cry, son. You’re going to grow into a man, so you shouldn’t cry and wail all the time.” Elias furrowed his brows at the sight of Aiden’s tears. Is it right for a man to cry and wail like that?

“But I’m just a kid. Mommy says that it’s normal for kids to cry!” Aiden protested.

Elias chuckled at this. “Well, you shouldn’t cry for no reason! You can tell me what you want-you don’t have to cry about it. Do you understand?”

“Well, I want to get down, and I want to go to Mommy,” Aiden uttered.

“Well, like I said, I’ll let you down once you forgive me, okay?” Elias was like a kidnapper who was trying to lure a child into his trap-his voice was gentle and convincing.

The boy blinked a few times, droplets of tears still hanging on his lashes. He looked down at the ground and thought about it for a while. After some contemplation, he finally came to a decision. “Oh… Okay, fine. I forgive you. Let me down,” he said after he parted his lips.

Elias finally got things to go his way, and he let out a laugh before he ruffled the boy’s soft hair. “That’s great. What should you say when you’re referring to me?”

“Let me down, Daddy,” Aiden uttered obediently.

“Alright, I’ll let you down.” Elias lifted the child off the ledge with ease and placed him on the ground. The young boy immediately began walking toward the room the moment his feet touched the ground. He didn’t even turn around to take a look at Elias.

Elias couldn’t help but shake his head in exasperation. He sure is my child. He’s even as cold-hearted as I am.

By then, Amanda had already gotten dressed and was in the midst of tidying her messy hair. There were bite marks that were left all over her fair skin, and no matter how much she tried to cover them up, she simply couldn’t conceal them all.

“Mommy!” A shudder ran up Amanda’s spine when she heard her son’s voice coming from behind her.
