The Lawyer’s Romance in Law novel Chapter 355

Chapter 355 Elias Winters! I Hate You!

any other Elias leaned back on the couch and smiled silently before turning to Jack. “Go ahead and ask questions you have.”

“Why did you coincidentally appear at Cloudview Hotel that night? Do you really have nothing to do with you also denying what happened to Stephanie? Stephanie said you texted her to meet her at the hotel. Are this?” Jack threw all his questions at Elias, and the latter maintained his rebellious posture while answering. “I’ll answer your

first question first, Mr. Allegra. I was informed of the event held in Cloudview quite early. on. I initially hadn’t intended to show up, but someone unintentionally revealed to me that Amanda would be there. So, I decided to take my chances. However, I never saw her despite having waited over an hour. With that, I headed home. Oh, I also tried calling Amanda a few times, but she never answered them. As for your second question, I have absolutely nothing to do with Stephanie’s incident, and I never texted her.”

His flawlessly smooth justification was a solid slap in Stephanie’s face. Even Jack began questioning the case, which was getting increasingly bizarre.

Meanwhile, Amanda was stumped. So, Elias went to Cloudview Hotel to look for me? Now, it sounds even more like someone’s trying to frame him.

At that, she stood up and asked gravely, “Do you still remember who told you I’d be at the event?”

At that, Elias gazed lazily at Amanda and pondered for a moment before answering, “I’ve forgotten. It was likely a secretary or someone unimportant, or I would remember.”

“In other words, someone intentionally led you to Cloudview Hotel,” Amanda asked again.

“Yes.”

Stephanie couldn’t take it anymore. She couldn’t stand watching Amanda and Elias flaunt their affection. for each other as if no one else was around. “You’re lying! You were the man from that night! It was you, Elias Winters, no matter how you try to argue! How could there be so many coincidences?! How could you so coincidentally be in the hotel that night while I was. Is there anyone to prove that you went home to sleep that night?!”

“I live in Galaxy Bay,” Elias argued composedly. “The surveillance cameras there can prove it. It won’t be broken as coincidentally as with the ones in the hotel.”

Stephanie was instantly speechless, turning to her father like a helpless child. “Dad, he’s lying! He must be lying!”

However, Jack only turned to the data analyst working aside and asked, “How is it? Do we have the results?”

“We do. According to the analysis, Mr. Winters didn’t lie, but the accuracy of the lie detector is only around 75 to 80 percent. You should consider it carefully.”

“What? He didn’t lie? Dad, this can’t be true! It’s not accurate at all! He’s definitely lying!” Stephanie was emotionally overwhelmed. She couldn’t fathom that the man she had been with that night might not be Elias. The thought of it being someone else disgusted her, and she didn’t know who this repulsive person might be.

“That’s enough! Stop making a scene and go to your room!” Jack was losing his patience with his daughter’s outburst. That said, the result was both expected and unexpected for him.

“Dad!” Stephanie was unwilling to accept this reality. She couldn’t believe it wasn’t Elias.

It had to be him! If it wasn’t Elias, whom did I sleep with that night?!

At that, Jack turned to Crispin and requested, “Crispin, take Stephanie to her room.”

“Okay.” Crispin approached Stephanie and gently led her out of the study, comforting her, “Come, Stephanie, let’s go to your room. We’ll figure this out. Mr. Allegra will find the truth, come.”

“I hate you, Elias Winters!” Stephanie’s eyes filled with tears as she glared at the man sitting on the couch.

After Crispin dragged her out of the study, the space finally quieted down.

Meanwhile, Jack looked at the lie detector data analysis pages, lost in silence. If Elias didn’t lie, then who could it be that defiled Stephanie….

On the other hand, Elias had already removed the patches from his body. “We’re done here, right? Please excuse us now. Mr. Allegra. I’d like to talk to Amanda privately. I’ll use your study for a while.”

At that, Jack glanced at him and turned away angrily.

He wasn’t sure why he was angry. Maybe just like Stephanie, he couldn’t accept that it wasn’t Elias. In that case, it probably didn’t matter who that man was anymore; finding him would only drive Stephanie crazy.

After Jack left. Elias slowly stood up and casually buttoned up his shirt as he walked toward Amanda, “It’s your turn; let’s play truth or dare.”

What? What is he talking about?!

“Are you crazy? This is a lie detector test, and you want me to take it? Have I lied?” Amanda said disdainfully, heading out of the study at once.

“Don’t think you can escape. You’re taking the test tonight one way or the other,” said Elias, yanking her back to him.

At that, one of the staff members awkwardly spoke up. “Mr. Winters, if you want to continue the test, I can adjust the equipment-
