Chapter 364 I’m Afraid You’ve Made a Huge Mistake 

“Come over here, 0345. You have a phone call.” 

Back in the prison, when Raymond, who was spacing out in his cell, heard the prison officer calling out to him, he rose to his feet and stepped out of the place. 

Presently, he was in a dilemma, not knowing what choice he should make. 

Apparently, Crispin, who came from a poor background, was no match for Elias. Moreover, if Raymond told the truth, Elias might help him get his wife’s illness treated. After all, Elias was extremely powerful, and the private hospital run by the Winters Family was one of the best in the country. 

Raymond was still hesitant as to whether he should betray Crispin, for he desperately wanted to cure his wife, and time was running out for her.

He was plunged into a state of despair. He had been doing everything to ensure that his wife would stay alive, but things ended up going against his wishes. 

Just then, another prison officer came over with a solemn expression. “Raymond, we just received a call from the hospital. They informed us that your wife passed away yesterday. She experienced heart failure and her heart has stopped beating.” 

Raymond had always been a law-abiding citizen, but he became hysterical at this moment. He grabbed the prison officer’s clothes and snarled, “What did you say?! I have to see my wife

Yacob wished he could turn back the clock. He had always been a meticulous person, but he was too exhausted the day before. 

As Amanda looked at the corpse that was covered with a white cloth, she furrowed her brows. “It’s over. Raymond will never tell us the truth now. The woman he loves is gone, so he no longer has the desire to get out of jail.” 

“You’re so useless!” Elias growled at Yacob before turning around to leave. 

Yacob hung his head low in silence, knowing that he was in the wrong. He had disappointed

In Elias’ eyes, Yacob would never make such a mistake. To make matters worse, the mistake was so grave as the murderer managed to kill Raymond’s wife on his watch. 

Amanda glanced at Yacob and patted his shoulder. “Stop blaming yourself. There’s no point wallowing in self-pity. It’s not your fault that the culprit is too ruthless. Still, there is no doubt. that he’s the person who has made Raymond a scapegoat.” 

With that, she turned around and left as well.

up his fists, determined to get to the person that made Raymond take the fall. 

When Elias entered the car and was ready to head to the prison, Amanda got into the passenger’s seat. As she buckled up, she said, “Where are you going? Take me with you.” 

“It’s fine. I can go there on my own.” 

“You’re not going anywhere without me. I can tell you’re furious right now, and you need me to help calm you down,” Amanda intoned seriously. She was worried that Elias was going to cause a scene, especially considering his temperament. 

The man took a long look at her before driving the car away from the hospital. 

On the way to their destination, Elias remained silent all along. Amanda realized that they were heading to the prison. It seems that he’s going to face Raymond directly. 

She wanted to say something as she glanced at his side profile. Yet, as she parted her lips, she found that she couldn’t bring herself to utter a word. So, she looked away and decided to keep quiet. 

When they arrived at the prison, the warden told them that Raymond was already aware of his wife’s death as the hospital had informed them about it. Raymond had gone mad, so they decided to put him in solitary confinement. 

Then, the warden took the two of them to the confinement cell.
