Chapter 379 Conduct a DNA Test
Amanda turned off her phone directly and settled herself on the bed to calm her nerves. I shouldn’t go out for the next few days until Elias returns. I might be caught by Lawrence if I went out. That would be disastrous.
For the whole night, she couldn’t sleep well, constantly thinking about what Lawrence had said. If it weren’t for the DNA test proving Elias as Aiden’s father, she might have doubted herself.
Speaking of which, how did his investigation land on me? I have no connection with him, so how did I appear in his investigation? Could someone be sabotaging me? Or else, I just don’t understand. With the Lawrence Family’s influence, how could they fail to uncover such a simple matter?
Lost in her thoughts, she fell into a deep sleep and had a long dream.
In the dream, she saw Elias and Lawrence fighting violently. She wanted to intervene, but she couldn’t get to them.
Covered in blood, Elias shouted at her angrily, “Why did you betray me? Why?” She tried to explain, but she couldn’t utter a sound, making her feel utterly helpless.
“No! No!” She woke up from her dream with her forehead covered in a cold sweat. Only then did she realize it was just a dream.
Just then, Colette knocked on the door. “Miss, are you awake? Aiden wants to see you.”
Hearing that, Amanda slowly sat up, straightened her pajamas, and then got up to open the door.
The moment the door opened, Aiden rushed into her arms, hugging her tightly.
When she looked down at her son’s tender and innocent face, her motherly love surged. She crouched down and asked, “What’s wrong. Aiden?”
“I had a nightmare last night, Mommy. I dreamed that you didn’t want me and Daddy anymore.” The more he said, the more aggrieved he became, so he hugged her even tighter.
After she glanced at Colette standing by, she said, “You can go and attend to your duties. I’ll comfort him.”
Colette nodded and left.
Amanda then took Aiden back to his room and gently reassured him. “Don’t be afraid. It was just a dream. Why would I not want you and Daddy? When Daddy comes back, we’ll go to the park together, okay?”
“No, I want to go to Universal Studios.”
“Okay, we’ll do whatever you want. Now let’s wash our faces and brush our teeth. You have to go to kindergarten, okay?”
Only then did he finally forget about the nightmare from last night and nod happily. “Okay. When will -Daddy come back?”
“Probably tomorrow night.” Right, he’ll be home soon.
At her answer, he was filled with anticipation. I’ll wait for Daddy to come back and take me to Universal Studios. It will be amazing to go with Mommy this time.

After the mother and son finished preparing.
going to kindergarten.
At this time. Yacob was already waiting downstairs. However, he was unaware of what had happened to Amanda last night..
“I’ll go with you to drop Aiden off at school.”
“Okay.” Although he didn’t know the reason behind her behavior, he agreed to her request. These days, he was the one who had been taking Aiden to school. She seems a little strange today.
After breakfast, Amanda and Aiden got into the car, and Yacob drove them away from the Allegra Villa. He couldn’t hold his curiosity back. “You don’t look too well. Are you sick?”
“I’m fine. By the way, before Elias returns, you must protect Aiden… and me.” She feared that Lawrence might find information about Aiden. After all, he had already found out about her, so it wouldn’t be difficult to find her child.
Hearing that, Yacob furrowed his brow. “What exactly happened?”
“I’ll tell you when I find out more. Right now, I can’t explain everything in just a few words. Anyhow, before Elias returns, we shouldn’t act rashly.” She didn’t want to provoke Lawrence unnecessarily. Perhaps it’s just a case of mistaken identity, and helping him find the person he’s looking for should be enough. There’s no need for a confrontation. Besides, he seems to know Elias, and their families might have business connections. I don’t want to escalate the situation. I’m innocent anyway, and I have no connection with Lawrence. The truth will eventually come to light.
However, little did she know that ever since they left the Allegra Villa, a car had been tailing them, but the driver was skilled enough to remain unnoticed by Yacob.
After dropping Aiden off at kindergarten, Yacob drove Amanda back. “Where do you want to go? Your studio?”
She had been busy with her studio recently, but unexpectedly, she replied, “Nowhere. Just take me home… Until Elias returns from Esmos, I don’t want to go anywhere. I’ll stay at home.”
This shocked him for a moment, but he nodded in agreement.
After they left, the car that had been lurking around slowly stopped outside the kindergarten. The window. was rolled down, revealing a handsome mixed-race face. The man then ordered his bodyguard, “If the child was born in that year, he should be around this age now. Conduct a DNA test.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Let Dr. Albert do it.”
“Yes, sir.”
Symeon trusted no one but Dr. Albert. Only Dr. Albert’s results can convince me.
In the following days, Lawrence didn’t call to harass Amanda again, which made her puzzled. Did he disappear just like that? If it weren’t for the text message on her phone, she’d have doubted if everything was just a nightmare.
