Symeon’s phone buzzed. 

He took a glance and saw that it was Elizabeth calling. 

He could already imagine what she wanted to say, probably wanting to complain. 

He swiped open the screen and pressed it to his car. “Aren’t you supposed to be having dinner with your parents at this time? How do you have time to call me?” 

“Symeon, hasn’t the butler told you about what happened today? I thought the Lawrence Family’s butler would be very diligent, but it appears he’s rather unprofessional.” Elizabeth’s words were full of sarcasm.

Amanda and her son were already seated and having their meal in the dining room.

He looked at the bowl of noodles in front of Amanda, emitting a fragrant aroma. Next to her, the little guy was eating the noodles with such dedication, as if that bowl was his whole world. 

Symeon sat on the chair and gazed at the little guy, asking, “Is it delicious?” 

Though he hadn’t been fond of children, the thought that this was his child made him more patient. 

Baby glanced at Symeon but didn’t respond. Instead, he scooted closer to Amanda and whispered, “Mommy, has Daddy been naughty recently?” 

Amanda frowned. “What did you say?” 

For a moment, she didn’t understand what her son was saying. 

Baby looked at Symeon timidly and continued, “Then, why did you change daddies for me?” 

Amanda and Symeon exchanged glances, falling into silence and even feeling lost for words.
