Chapter 544 I’m Not Interested in Her, and She’s Not Interested in Me
Amanda couldn’t quite understand Casey’s strange reaction. Why is this woman so concerned about my relationship with Elias?
Amanda narrowed her eyes slightly and couldn’t help but ask, “Miss Carter, don’t tell me you’ve actually fallen for Elias. He’s not only a married man but also has a son.”
The cafe bustled with people, but the atmosphere between the two women was extremely
tense.
Casey didn’t expect to be turned against like this and forced a smile. “Mrs. Winters, that’s exactly what I wanted to tell you. If you don’t cherish this happy marriage, sooner or later, another woman will interfere.”
Is she declaring war on me? A sneer escaped Amanda. “So, you’re declaring war on me?”
If Amanda hadn’t misunderstood, Casey had come to her and openly stated her intention to insert herself into Amanda and Elias’ marriage.
She hoped she had misunderstood.
But Casey firmly replied, “Yes, it’s clear that you’re not worthy of a great man like Elias. If you hadn’t done what you did with Symeon, there might have been room for compromise. But now, it’s impossible, especially since you’ve decided to find the right time to confess to Mr. Winters.”
Better to rip the bandage off quickly. Elias needed to know about what had happened. between Amanda and Symeon, and he needed to make a decision sooner rather than later.
Amanda looked at Casey, who had a gentle and clean appearance. She felt that this woman. was different from the others. Could she have been wrong?
Moreover, Amanda was at fault for trying to steal the bidding documents from Symeon’s house. However, she hadn’t succeeded. Did that really make her unworthy of Elias?
This seemed like a deliberate provocation!
“Miss Carter, if you want to be a mistress, you don’t need to be so long-winded with. excuses. The reasons you’re giving me all seem like jokes.”
Since it had come to this, there was no need to pretend anymore.
your
“Do you think it’s a joke? You’re a lawyer, a prestigious one at that. Don’t you have any moral boundaries?”

Casey couldn’t understand why Amanda was so unapologetic, especially since she was a high-profile lawyer. Didn’t she find infidelity distasteful?
“I admit that going to Symeon’s house and doing what I did in the study was wrong. But that’s not a reason for you to become a third party. If you’re determined to interfere in our marriage, then let’s see who wins.”
With that, Amanda got up and left, taking her bill with her.
Casey watched Amanda’s departing figure and couldn’t help but grip her coffee cup tightly.
She had only wanted to remind Amanda to leave on her own accord, but Amanda seemed completely ungrateful. Moreover, she didn’t think anything was wrong with what had happened between her and Symeon in the study the day before.
Of course, why would someone who cheated think they were wrong? If they knew it was wrong, they wouldn’t have cheated in the first place.
Casey couldn’t help but smile, a mocking expression on her face.
She had accidentally stumbled upon Symeon and Amanda coming out of the study the day before. Who knew how many secret meetings they had had before?!
Thinking about how Elias had been kept in the dark was rather pitiful, but she couldn’t proactively expose the truth. Firstly, Elias wouldn’t believe her and might even think she was. trying to sow discord. Secondly, Elias might distance himself from her and not want to see her again.
She needed to gather evidence of Amanda and Symeon meeting privately again to make Elias believe her. However, now that Amanda knew, they would likely be more cautious during their next secret rendezvous. It might not be so easy to catch them again.
Winters Enterprise, president’s office…
Elias had just finished a meeting and was passing by the secretary’s area when his secretary
up and informed him, “Mr. Winters, Mrs. Winters is here, waiting for you in the office.”

Upon hearing that Amanda had arrived, a faint smile finally appeared on his face. The meeting had been infuriating, as these incompetents couldn’t accomplish anything without his direct supervision. Now, the thought of his dear wife’s presence allowed him a moment of relaxation.
Without delay, he returned to his office and found Amanda casually flipping through at magazine on the guest area’s couch. Her nonchalant appearance exuded a captivating allure.

Amanda lazily glanced up and asked, “You’re done with the meeting?”
Elias placed his documents on the coffee table and sat beside her, wrapping his arm around her slender waist. “Why did you suddenly decide to come see me?”
She picked up a tissue and gently wiped the sweat from his forehead. “I was passing by and thought I’d check on you. See if you’ve been working hard to make money. Otherwise, how can I stay comfortably at home?”
Amanda saw a layer of sweat on his forehead and couldn’t help but assist him.
Elias chuckled. “You saw it, didn’t you? So, are you reassured now? Your husband was nearly driven to anger by those useless people.”
“Why are you getting angry on such a hot day? Can’t you have a better temper? Everyone is doing their best.”
“Yeah, I’ll listen to my wife. I’ll work on my temper.” Elias picked up her delicate hand and started playing with her fingers as if examining some precious artifact with great care.
Amanda smiled. Seeing Elias like this, she couldn’t bear to let Casey come between them and destroy their marriage. Absolutely not.
Elias suddenly spoke, “There’s a jewelry auction tomorrow. Would you like to go? I’ll buy you a ring.”
“No need. I’m not interested in these things. I already have one to wear.”
“Also, about our wedding from before, I forgot because of my car accident. Let’s make up for it. Once I’m less busy, I’ll have them start planning the wedding. We can have Aiden be the ring bearer.”
Elias found the image of their son participating in their wedding to be quite entertaining. It added a unique touch.
Amanda suddenly asked, “What do you think of Casey?”
Elias furrowed his brow slightly. Why is she bringing up Casey again? Wasn’t that all in the past?
“Haven’t you met her in person and heard her explanation? Why are you digging up old matters?”
“No, I just want to hear your opinion of her. What do you think of her character?”
Amanda gazed at him seriously, waiting for his response. This was crucial to whether or not Casey could successfully come between them.
