The Legendary Mage (Alavin) novel Chapter 123

Gwenda cast a disdainful glance at Myke and sneered, "This is getting more and more laughable. A fellow who's a ladyboy is bad enough, but now a servant joins the fray? Does our Cobalt Strike have no shame?"

The Protégés surrounding the arena burst into laughter. "What's this, does The Clash of Eight Orders now require a lackey to sweep the floors and tend to lodgings? Haha, the Organization surely thinks of everything."

An Elder scolded Alavin with a stern look, "Get down from there. Stop this nonsense!"

"Alavin, don't shame yourself. Step down," Roald said with a cold frown.

Balder, tugging at Alavin to the side, said, "Alavin, let's wait a moment. Perhaps the Commander hasn't—oh... here they come."

At that moment, the Cobalt Strike Commander arrived at the Arena and glanced at Alavin from afar before ascending the training platform.

"Commander!" The Elder and the various Protégés bowed in respect.

"Alavin." The Commander's gaze towards Alavin was somewhat complex.

"Commander!" Alavin replied confidently, without a hint of inferiority.

"Commander, Alavin's arrival..."

An Elder began to speak but was silenced by a gesture from the Commander. "Gwenda, you may retire for now."

"What?" Gwenda was taken aback.

"Alavin will take your place in The Clash of Eight Orders."

"What?" Gwenda's voice pitched up in disbelief, staring at the Commander.

"Alavin??" Roald, Cedrick, even Mariela, and others were all visibly shaken, thinking they had misheard.

The five Elders were also taken aback and quickly gathered around the Commander. "Commander, what is the meaning of this? How can Alavin replace Gwenda? This... this is too much of a disparity!"

"Alavin is stronger than Gwenda and is eligible to compete."

"How could Alavin possibly be stronger than Gwenda?" The five Elders were serious. This was ridiculous; the difference in strength was vast, and there were social standings to consider. How could they send a servant to The Clash of Eight Orders? Would that not bring shame upon Cobalt Strike?

"Alavin, what have you done!" Gwenda, jolted awake by the shock, pointed at Alavin and screamed. “Me, replaced by Alavin? An Elite Protégé replaced by a servant? Impossible! This cannot be!”

"Sorry," Alavin shrugged, his only desire being to compete. As for who he replaced, that was not his decision to make.

Adirich protested loudly, "Commander! How could Alavin possibly be qualified to compete? A servant, a mere Stage VI, how could such a one represent Cobalt Strike?"
