On the main platform.
The Earthbound Spirits Commander's furrowed brow slowly relaxed, as he turned to the Cobalt Strike Commander beside him. "Commander Kashann, is Alavin really a servant of your Cobalt Strike?"
Commander Kashann chuckled and said nothing, as he had been asked countless times before. He was also stunned by Alavin's performance and somewhat understood why Alavin was fighting so desperately.
"Since he's a servant, he's not important, right? How about you let me have him?" As the Earthbound Spirits Commander spoke, the other Commanders were taken aback. Was this an expression of valuing talent?
"He was a servant, but not anymore," replied Commander Kashann with a light smile. This wasn't untrue; according to his agreement with Alavin, if Alavin won a battle, his servitude would be waived. So today's Alavin was no longer a servant of Cobalt Strike.
"For what reason did Alavin become a servant?" inquired the Bloodlore Commander, seemingly intrigued as well.
"An accident," Commander Kashann did not wish to elaborate.
Not only were the Commanders intrigued, but protégés also sensed something amiss. Either Alavin was a complete madman, or something serious was at play.
"Why is Alavin serving as a servant?" a protégé from the Hidden Essence approached the Cobalt Strike group.
"Is it any of your concern?" Roald and his companions met the question with cold stares.
"Just asking, what's the harm in speaking?"
"Indeed, there is no harm in speaking." Cedrick, clutching his iron blade, looked out over the fierce battlefield of the arena. "Alavin was once a young lord of his own town. Eight years ago, an accident befell them, and Cobalt Strike laid waste to his entire town. His parents' fate is unknown, two hundred thousand people were enslaved in the mines, and he was captured and made to serve Cobalt Strike."
"What?" The protégé from the Hidden Essence couldn't believe his ears. Did Alavin have a grudge against Cobalt Strike?
