When Antonio left, he didn’t even look at me.
I stood there for a long while before I accepted that he left me alone. I went to the hospital after them. Antonio’s parents were also there.
It turned out I was the last one to know. At the sight of me, Antonio’s mom slapped me hard.
“If anything happens to my grandchild, I’ll make you suffer!”
Antonio stood before me protectively and kept me behind him.
It made his mom even angrier.
“Antonio, I don’t care if you defend her at other times. But this time, she almost killed your son!”
Antonio laughed. Checked defiance was plain in his voice.
“So what? What’s the big deal?”
If his parents hadn’t kept the baby behind his back, Grace wouldn’t have been sad.
